Whts going on canna folks.... having a little problem with my ladies in dwc. My ph is at 6.0 I set it there to give it room to fluctuate. My ppm is around 750-800. My roots are not slimy or stinky. They are white and tanish. But I keep getting these spots. They start out like a brownish color then turn like a pale white. I checked for mites and bugs... dont have any. Overall health looks great! Just the damn spots maaaaaaaan! Please help a brotha out!

Yeah you're good bubba. You can't expect every leaf to be perfect, plus it's not showing up on any brandy new growth. But with DWC you should be keepin an eye on your temps and pH and roots. If that's all good then never fret

Nope.... still getting a lil spots on the leaves. Mixed a lil peroxide and hydroguard set ph at 6.0 to flush out and kill and bacteria.

That is a calmag def. Throw about 150ppm of calmag and you will notice a difference. Do you have silica in the rez? That could mitigate your temp swings.

Why would you mix peroxide with hydroguard? Thats just basically dumping your hydroguard down the drain. The peroxide is killing all the bacteria in the Hydroguard, thats what it is... A form of Bacillus. And thats what peroxide does... kills everthing!

I wouldn't use peroxide unless I had no other option. I use it to clean flood tables, reservoirs, hydroton, netpots etc. Not in the nutrient reservoir. Just my opinion though.

Thanks for the replies guys... I'll take some more pic when I get home so you can see what I'm talking about. Just added bigger air stones to get more air to the roots. Roots look kinda tanish but not slimy or stinky. Like I said overall health looks good but I know something is up cause the spots I'm getting... starting to form all over and water intake and new growth has slowed down quite a bit.

lookin like root rot. which could be caused from high rez temps, not enough dissolved oxygen, and have you pissed off Odin lately?

That how my roots always looked when I grew DWC even with multiple airstones, keeping the rez cool with frozen water bottles, h2o2, beneficial bacteria, I tried everything and the roots would always devolve from white to...well what you have going on. I switched to an aeroponic setup and have never run into any of the DWC problems I was having.

I think ultimately you may not be getting enough dissolved oxygen is your reservoir/rootzone... but it's probably Odin's rage
