Now I love to cure and smoke my own meats and cheeses at home. I was reading up on all the smoking materials you can use to impart unique flavours. Smoking with tea leaves was mentioned as a more exotic sort of flavour.
So once I read that, I happened to think about what kind of results would I see if I put marijuana inside a smoker. Now I would say it would definitely be imparted with the flavour of marijuana smoke, so a nice quality herb could make some lovely and unique dishes.
What I'm wondering though, the purpose of cooking with marijuana is almost entirely just to provide an alternative way to get high. Do you think a food item that is easily penetrated by the smoke like a lovely side of cured salmon would also absorb a significant amount of THC?
If you just used pure marijuana, and maybe put your smoker in the garage or something, you could probably have an epic hot box with friends, so you at least get a good high while preparing the goods. If I ever win the lottery, this will happen at least once lol.
