A Health Routine, From the Mind of a Self-proclaimed Health Nut (Idiot)...

These are the delusional ramblings of a self-proclaimed health nut (i.e. idiot). Consult your doctor (mental and physical) before doing the crazy things I do trying to maintain health. Here's my daily routine. But everyone I know says I'm crazy, so don't do this stuff unless your doctor approves. Also keep in mind that I'm a male, 6'3", 215 lbs, in overall good condition:

1. First thing every morning, I juice a whole fresh lemon, add the juice to a 16-ounce glass of warm water, and drink it. This gives a boost of vitamin C, keeps digestive system ph in check all day, and jump-starts metabolism. Lemon juice is also considered an effective blood cleanser.

2. Then I jump on a rebounder (I use a Bellicon rebounder) for 15 minutes. This is great for the immune system (it helps circulate the lymphatic system). It's also great for internal organs, joints (body joints that is :)), and the cardiovascular system. It also...uh...how do I say this?...makes waste elimination REAL easy and regular...

3. Then I puree these three things, and drink up: 1 cup of frozen organic blueberries (filled with anti-oxidents), an orange, a kiwi, and one cup of water. This will complete many of the vitamins and fiber for the day, and keep kidneys flushed. :)

Why should the blueberries be organic? Because blueberries are on the "Dirty Dozen" list of fruits and vegetables that should be eaten only if organic, due to their high propensity to deeply absorb pesticides (that can't be washed away before eating).

Since I started this routine some years ago, I've had a grand total of ONE cold, and it lasted only 3 days. This daily routine is a huge immune system booster for me.

I also tend to eat many (but not all) of the following every day:

1. A banana
2. A 16-ounce V8 low-sodium vegetable juice (it's mostly tomato juice, filled with the anti-oxident lycopene).
3. A serving of almonds.
4. A sweet potato.
5. Tuna fish, salmon, or lean turkey and onions.
6. Brussel sprouts or brocoli or collard greens.
7. 16 ounces of Tru-Moo chocolate milk (oh yeah).
8. A half an avocado on 100% wheat bread.
9. Black beans.
10. 2 cups of decaffinated green tea.
11. 1-2 glasses of pinot noir red wine.

I also take a Centrum Silver vitamin, and fish oil pills, every day.

As for exercise beyond the rebounder, I run for 20 minutes, and swim for 20 minutes when possible.

I also hit the bong twice every night after supper.

Yes, I'm crazy, delusional, insane, etc.

Wow, cool. No responses? Must be a lot of guilty fat asses around here. :)

But seriously, you must have spent years refining and adjusting to your diet. Much to your credit, as you'll live to see your great-great-grand-children.
