I dont like gay porn, but you dont see me in a homo forum harrasing some guy who wants cock in his butt

......Does make a point.
I dunno, its a free country ( somewhat ) and you can do whatever the hell you want to do. You can stick seeds in your ears and see if they sprout if thats what you wanna do.
I don't expect them to do anything more than shoot up outta the ground then fall over dead but that in itself will be a result.

I think they will grow.... Very small yes, and most will die. Hopefully what doesn't die is a female... If i get a joint out of it its a success.

Im going to stop ignoring gary.... Ingot a feeling ill regret it though.

Great experiment will be following. Everyone wants to cut you down but you're actually doing something and making a contribution to the community. What are the negative people doing for the greater good.

Keep it up, for the seasoned vets this will be boring, but for us newbies who want all the info we can get our hands on, this is a gold mine.

Gold mine? I doubt it... But we might all learn something.

Sometimes it's nice to see what happens when a tornado rolls through town. If you can maintain a mediocre crop with both hands tied behind your back then having the proper setup will be a cake walk.

Also for completw beginners like me it'll be interesting to see the plants struggle and clearly show deficiencies, toxicity or other issues.

Regardless of the outcome having real world data to relate to helps. Best of luck.

Update!

The largest seedling so far is actually beating the ones i had in the sun. I brought two of the peatcups in so i could take this pic.

Some more of the seedlings in my pot seem to be stunted. Ill post a pic of them momentarily.

My guess is that they wont survive.

Out of the 7 that came up, 2 are standing and open looking quite healthy. The others seem to be taking a while to uncurl themselves. One has died completely.

I don't think the cause of the death is environmental. More likely because i picked the seed off like an asshole. I did that to 3 of them in the pot and one in the peat cups. The 3 whose seeds i picked 2 seem to have stopped growth, and one is dead.

I using 3" peat pots, cheap soil and 40 watts of t5's and I am getting great results in veg

I would hang one light over the plants at this stage so the bulbs 1" off the top of the seedling and have a small fan blowing the hot air way from the seedling's

if you grow two plants (one plant in each pot), top,lst and hang the light over the plant 1-2" above the pot, use some large pots with some good quality soil from the back garden I think you will be surprised what you can pull from these plants

Sorry for the delay guys, but here is a quick update.

I left the peat pots inside in that pot since that photo was taken due to a storm. I didnt want them to get damaged.

There is ALOT of stretching going on in the pot, probably more due to the distance of the light rather than the wattage or type of light. They have still been getting 24hr lights and i am happy to say that the ones that didnt die already from me fucking with them are looking healthy.

Another seedling seems to be trying to pop up as well.

I moved the pot and lights into a closet. Ill cover the closet window tomorrow and i will be switching to 12 and 12 Thursday.

Id like some input on something though, since there are multiple plants in the pot, and two of my peat pots also have multiple plants (i was going to just drop em outside in the woods but i think i wanna keep them indoors now) how should i handle males?

If i kill the males, i may cause root rot that could spread to the other plants.

If i try to separate them now, i risk killing everything.

If i let the males live, i run into a few other problems besides just seeds in my bud.

A) the males join the competition for light and nutes, giving the girls less and possibly killing them.

B) less room for the plants to grow. Although due to the conditions of the grow they will not get big anyway, this is still a factor in potential yeild, as well as added stress to the plants.

Also, a question for you guys that i dont know the answer to...

After i flip them to 12 and 12, how long before they show sex?
Does it take longer for them to show sex at 12 and 12 due to there age and size?

Im not sure how they will like being forced to flower at the moment. But we will see quite soon.

Pics tommarrow :)

I am considering your advice, my issue is the reflectors on the bulbs are too big. I dont wanna remove them because its only a total of 40w CFL.

Obviously i need to do something because the stretch is getting out of hand.

I do plan on LST because if i dont at least some of them will surely die because they cant get light.

Okay, so 1 is a pic of the pot itself with both lights. Nothing to fancy. Its only a total of 40watts of cfl.

2. Top view of all 9 plants. The ones in peat cups spent most of their lives basking in the sun on a table in my yard.

3. The largest plant in the pot (not peat cup. Was also the first to sprout. The other surviving plant in the pot is MUCH smaller.

4. better shot of peat cup with 3 seedlings. I wonder how long until they compete for nutes, and how it will play out

I expect some stretch no matter what. The lack of light power is gunna continually be an issue. (Obviously an expected one)

So i trook the reflector off. The bulb is now as low as it can be.

Somehow i managed to take a chunk out of one of the plants leaf. I think when i was pulling the light off to remove the reflector. Either way, only time will tell it it will recover.

I also gave them a little water today. This was only the 3rd time the pot got water. The peat cups were getting it everyday until i brought them inside.

Im considering transplanting a few to my yard. Im just worried they will be seen.
