Just another bump LOL soon ill finish this thread n it should be banging for now this should be sufficient enuff for a caveman setting up a bucket.
Furthermore if someone runs across this thread n has questions about flowering and the grow process and ideas i use im sure i could easily run the flower process down with simple how to Flower instructions with pix from previous grows to Finish or clear up any questions growers may have from VEG to FLOWER and HARVEST useing this system to grow in.

Thanks bro. I actually just re-read it myself and in my sparetime i do think im gonna get some pix together and try to finish this thread. Or just leave it till i get set back up and do a new one. This was a great grow tho. Def missing my DWC almost time for my grow vacation to come to an end haha.

Great thread mate, really shows the simplicity of DWC.

It might be a bit of a stupid question, but when you say:

"Next take ur lid with the pot in it place it on the bucket and continue to fill the bucket so the water level ends up at the bottom of the pot."

Do you mean actually touching the bottom of the net pot or like a few mm below? As I have heard different theories on how high to have the water etc, so just want to confirm.

What about res temps? Probably not an issue with 2x26w cfl but Im sure when you pop that 400 in there it will soon become an issue.?

Great tutorial

I think maintaining res temps is very important for DWC growers. IMO as important as light leaks.

+rep for this man

Hey onthedl first and foremost congrats on the grow and much thanks for the tutorial

I have one simple question for you that I really need cleared up.

I read from other sources that you should not use nutes until after the 2nd/3rd week because the seedlinds have their own source of food to go to, and addings nutes this early leaves the plants vulnerable to nute burn, but I see with you this wasn't the case...

I have 5 plants going DWC, they are 2 weeks old, and the growth is no where as near as explosive, ridiculous, outrageous as yours, and I'm most likely thinking it has to do with me not using nutes in the early stages, and now not using enough considering you used 400 ppm when they just sprouted.

I would really appreciate it if you could clear this up for me, I thought there was a general consensus on not addings nutes until after the 2nd week but maybe I misinterepreted it or maybe it was refferring to soil growers. Thank you very much in advance, and keep up the good work!

Look forwards to your future grows!

Karmeron real simple just keep ur rock moist. Brown not wet. Not tan just brown the whole way thru you will be fine! Fum try adapting a cooler to your grow space. Good question tho. Answer is couldnt tell ya. The only problems i ever had with heat where ambient flower room grow temps. Ive found 84 to be a sweet spot for my spot. Keep direct heat from ur lamps off your fans. Use a vented hood or cool tube that should solve all ur problems. Ive also seen res temps into the 90's. Keep ur temps stable thats the key. And as cool as possible. Keep everything stable. College i would suggest feeding your plants a lite feed from the start to help your res begin ph balance. Kepp your ph at 5.8 as good as you can and make the proper corrections from there. Just keep things stable. And let them grow.

did you say you never changed the res during flowering? you just added water, phdown and nutes to the current res? you didnt weekly replace the water alltogether?

Just wanted to bump this real quick. Seen a few threads about some peeps haveing questions on feeding and basic set-ups and thought this would really help out.

During the whole grow cycle, did you ever have to totally drain the water/nutes and completely replace to keep ph/ppm in balance?

I dont at all. Its perfectly possible to not change the water/nutes during a whole grow, just top up with water/nutes when needed, its what lucas (who made the lucas formula) used to recommend. However if you mess up you have to dump the water/nutes and start with a clean batch, so you have to be careful you dont overfeed. But once you get it perfect the ph should remain stable throughout the whole grow (if your nutes have ph stabilizers in them like GH nutes)

Yea like the previous poster said it is not neccesary to change your reservoir unless u have problems. U can grow an entire grow out in the same reservoir.
However, I run my plants ppm real high up to 1800 veg and that is Based strictly on a Grow nutes diet of 3 parts base Grow nutes to 1 part Flower nutes.
When I switch my lights over too 12/12 I typically do a res change and just reverse the formula to 3parts Flower 2partsCalmag 1partGrow all the while keeping my ppm running hard at 1800.
U don't have to run your ppm high. It is the way my particular strains like to eat.
If your going to switch ur res out make very sure your PH IS PROPER id also reccomend u keeping your ppm the same as well but u can play with your formulas by giveing plants what they need when they need it.

Lolz was not meant to hurt anyone in anyway. Was more or less done to give peeps a basic idea to use to build a simple DWC bucket. What to use and guidelines on how to feed to get the same results. Tear it up.
