a couple of questions

um hi, I had a couple of questions, I'm currently running a beta test on growing hydro. I have about 2 years experience growing with soil, my last project with it was the breeding of some reg to be the beta plants for my move to hydro. my best grow was some incredible ice buds that I wish I had done the breeding on, but i digress. I'm at the start of my hydro excursion, now I currently am operating one bubbleponics six plant grow system. I know I could have built one for cheaper, but on my first grow I'd rather have it built by someone else. now my beta test isn't designed for yield or quality it's more of a scientific observation on what these seeds can take. you can say what you want about some dime bag reg, but the simple fact remains that if you drop five seeds into the mud more than likely four of them will sprout. this leads me to what i've done so far. now as this is a beta test, i just set the system up, planted seeds into the rockwool, and buried them into the hydroton. that was about five days ago. since then one has sprouted. now I'm aware about sprouting seeds before hand, wet paper towels, submerging them in water until they float, all that good stuff. I know it's wayyyyyyyyyy better to do it like that, but my question is this. are there any methods I can take to help germination and sprouting in the other pots? ie saturating the rockwool with water, rasing my grow lights to the top and turning them on to let the seed know which way to sprout. no idea if either is even feasible, just some ideas i sat around and thought up while staring at my lone seedling. question the 2, does the ph of my water matter when my plants are just sprouts and seeds? the one sprout isn't even a seedling yet, no leaves just that white sperm looking thing that pokes it's head out of the ground. I haven't given them any nutrients yet so i figured the ph in the water didn't mater yet, but hell I'm probably wrong. all questions and constructive comments will be greatly appreciated. if your gonna bitch or flame about my methods ... well you can go fuck yourself. hey my growing motto's always been that you've gotta keep a peasant alive in terrible conditions before you earn the right to grow a goddess in great ones. thank you for your time
