Caught a wild hair yesterday talking with a good buddy who is an excellent grower but only does outdoors. He's lookin at my babies and tells me he believes these are the prettiest ones I've had in a while and they need just a little something to make em real happy, pot ash. He and I have this on going pissin contest over the best bud. I have a burn pile that's about 15yrs old where I always burn my limbs, grass, old plant stems, my old trim, what ever. I took about a 5 gal bucket of the soil around the inner circle of that pile and put a couple of inches on most of my new babies. I ran out and figured I would leave 3 or 4 without it to see if if made a difference. I see good growth, the topping hasn't seemed to effect them much at all. I did top my Freeze Berry just to see what happens. Nothing new at her top yet... The 1st 3 are 38 days old the rest are 14 days old.. :weed:

I use straight potash! I'll sprinkle a tablespoon into the top of the soil or just under mulch as well as mixing a tablespoon per gallon of water.

Then I'll add 3T calcium phosphate I pulled from bones and add a T of blood meal.

Wait really? OK.. So beneficial microorganisms tend to thrive in oxygen rich water. Coincidentally, pathogens tend to die off in oxygen rich water. Its a realitivly common practice to use worm castings, compost, or just your liquid or granual fert (as long as its organic ly produced) and whatever you are using mix that in a large amount of water to brew. Use weighted airstones and oxygenate your "tea" for 24-36 hours for best results and word on the streets...... Is that it tends to putrify after 36 hours.

My basic recipe is 1-200mL EMe/molasses, a liter of vermicastings, and a liter of compost in a 5 gallon pail with airstones. I'll add shtuff as I feel like experimenting when they're mature.

Looks like I might need to start a compost heap.... Did a little LST on my Cash Crop. She is looking healthy and I figured I would spread her out a little... I will do the same to the others shortly. They are growing fast now. These 4 day weekends gives me a bunch of time to mess with my girls. Took (3) 5 gal buckets and cut a shitload of 3" holes in em for my coonass air pots with the Wall World bag inserts. Will be starting my DP Auto Ultimate in those in a few days... Tracked my shipment of AutoEuforia and the 5 freebie autos from Herbies. They were in BR yesterday so I should receive them tomorrow in the mail. WOO HOO!!!! :weed:

And yes if you put the compost in a sock or pantyhose or gigantic tea bag the sediment will not settle on the bottom and putrify. In fact, I'd recommend the tea bag. I haven't upgraded to a vortex brewer yet. That's the bees knees kinda tech

So far she is outgrowing the Freeze Berry and the 2 Fast 2 Vast. I should be starting LST on them in a day or so. Everything is speeding up down here.... I love it! :weed:

lookin good man, great decision to only do half the plants and see how it effects them instead of just pusing it on everyone before you even know how it works.

there re some great stickies on teas and some more organic feeding options as well.

Herbies came through again! Gotta get some more soil. Thinking about doing 3 in coco. Have my 5 gal air buckets ready. Will grab some more potting soil after work start another round... :weed:
I hear real good things (yield) about that auto ultimate.

Nice pots too I made a bunch of those a few years back, worked out fantastically.

Why thank you Downtown. My girlfriend tells me I am obsessed with growing my weed and my duck hunting. Everything else in my life I just kinda work into my schedule... :weed:
I feel ya. My first love was Mary Jane. Always will be in my life. Love growing, smoking and love to being surrounded with a bunch of assholes who share my passion. Tell her if you were obsessed then you would be sleeping IN the grow room. A few years back I had sleep overs with them. But it was lights out at 12. I had to be the adult and enforce it :D

Been in the swamp since Thurs night. Man do they change when you don't see them daily. All of my babies are doing great. The Cash Crop is healthy as hell and nice and stocky as is the 2 Fast. She is the biggest but the Cash is a little more mature. The Freeze Berry didn't like the topping. She grew out some but not up at all. I raised the feed up a notch and amount is a little more to get some run off. All the others are really growing much faster than my first 3. I have a Think Different x Pinkie and an Amnesia x Pinkie that is 10"- 11" tall already. Might be males but its too early to tell. The ones I topped are doing just as I wanted... :weed:

Thanks Mag. The Pinkie x's are 20 days old, the first 3 are 47 days.... They were nowhere near as developed as the new ones are at their age. I think they will be nice sized plants. They are liking that Miracle Gro Organics Choice soil. Nothing but ph'd water so far...:weed:
