Yep that would work to cut the potancy in half 
. I would think at 3.5g worth of shatter in the half batch the resulting edibles should still be very potent unless you make them real small.
I've got a block of butter that has several grams(unknown amount between 4-8g) worth of concentrates in it. I've honestly been unsure what to do with it because the potancy is going to be very high, but I don't know how high so I don't want to cut it down and make them weak either.

Yeah im thinking maybe using half and half make 2 batches, then can always have a second piece if they want to have the full doseYep that would work to cut the potancy in half
