7 weeks flowering with CFL's AK48 and Power Skunk

can you all help me....7 weeks flowering after 8 weeks of vegging. I want to know if they are ready or they need some more time. I have two girls, one looks more 'ripe' than the other but help me.

AK48 and a Power Skunk in Miracle Grow Potting soil undel 12 CFL's

i think thats the best you can get with 12 cfls and miracle grow potting soil

i agree with what was stated above, was not expecting pics like that from what i see if they were mine id give em about 2 more weeks, to each his own tho

Wow, thats some red stems on those pics. You'r miracle grow is frying your plants.

Anywayz, there not done yet. How are you gonna flush? Every time you water you release more ferts.

i actually do not know what the next step is. I did not know I had to flush or anything like that. I was going to chop them down in a week or two and let them try in a dark room then put them in a glass jar....but it looks like i may leave them for another couple of weeks before i do that. I only water once a week using spring water and the MG only feeds for 3 months....i think

u can tell by the plant that the mg soil is startin no get low on nutes, so dont worry about flushing just keep using plain water and over the next 2week and just chop when ready,,

some strains do have quite red stems,,
u can see that the plant is getting low on nitrogen wich shows u that nutes are nearly all used up in mg, as in mg nitrogen is the biggest ellement,, so just let them fatten,,, u cud use molasses with the mg soil, as mollasses is only rich in potassium wich wont burn ur plants,,and will help ur plant fatten up if u use it until a week before u chop

I don't think the power skunk looks even close to done,which isnt surprising for power skunk at 7 weeks. Chop the ak soon, but the power skunk needs alot more time.

spur, how can you tell which is which. For the best pictures, (the first four are the short one, img_2137 is the best pic of the shorter plant) and the next five (the best being img_2141) is the taller plant. the last is a picture of buds from each one (left is tall plant, right is short plant).

the shorter plant looks much more ready than the taller one.

The shorter one I thought was the Power Skunk but it was a guess. That one has about 50% of the hair thingy's (trikes?) are red and is not growing up more, just getting fatter (the buds tht is). The tall one I would say only has about 30% amber/red hairs. Both have alot of the crystals all over them, well you can see in the pics

Thanks again all. I think I will still keep them around for another 2 weeks. I water them once a week with spring water, 44oz for the tall one and 32oz for the short one.

spur, I am taking a guess here but I take it my tall one is the power skunk, correct (pictures 5-9)? Also how many weeks you think I have to keep her growing? I am not going to do anything for the next week as I am going away anyway.

yes, the tall one looks to be power skunk. I really have no idea how much longer it has to go, I didn't always keep the quality records that I do now.

thanks spur. I will just let her keep growing until all of the hairs are amber red like the AK48 is (well almost). I figure I will give the AK48 another week or two and the Power Skunk three weeks. I am in no hurry actually. Going to take two branches of each to clone and plant another 4 seeds in my new grow room with a 400 HPS. This is my first grow so I used what I had and I am ok with it so far, miracle grow and CFL's and all

I will let all know how much I get out of these. I am hoping an ounce each.

Some sativa dominant strains can take a very long time to finish, don't be surprised if the power skunk isnt done in three weeks.

Am I to understand that you're going to try to take clones off of these ladies now? You might not be able to get them to root this late in the game, when you take clones from them any later than 2 weeks into 12/12 they have to revert to a vegatative state before they can start working on roots, you'll be lucky to clone these two. What you need to do, if you have a seperate veg area, is take the clones when you put the plants in flower, or within the first two weeks.

Anyway, best of luck to you. Keep us posted on that PS, I'd like to know how long they take to finish.

spur, cant thank you enough!!! I was thinking that they both would be done in 8 weeks of flowering but the Power Skunk is still pretty green (but getting fatter). The AK48 is browning up well and maybe will be done in 2 weeks. I will keep the PS in flower until it looks alot more like the AK48 in terms of amber hairs and the like.

as for cloning, I was going to take two small bud branches and put them in a new grow room and veg light to start all over again but I take it I am too late for these guys to do that? I still got 3 PS and 7 AK48 seeds so I can start seeds again in the grow room. these guys are in my basement

So how long did your power skunk too? WAs it Worth it?

Hey dude.Next time drop $600 or $700 and get yourself 2 lumatek digital ballasts along with a 400 & 600 hps bulbs.Miracle grow forget it,don't go there.Use sunshine #4 or promix hd soiless bales.I mean 90 days then another 30 for harvest is a time investment not just money.4 months you want atleast 1.5lbs of hard nugs and big frosty buds that are dank.Also drop bucks on some quality seed more than anything.Great strains almost grow themselves and erase many mistakes.Get 3-5 gallon plastic grow bags also with holes at the bottom.And panda film for the walls.My first grow i invested $300 bucks and grew 8oz.My second i tossed down $1400 and grew 2lbs of hard ,frosty nugs totally couchlock.Anyway Peace

i plan on a 600 mh/hps and already have a 4x4x6.5 grow room. thinking foxfarm of promix. I have 16 seeds of powerskunk and ak48 so I will grow those again but this time i think the grow will be killer. just have to get my nutes set up and them boom.

this was a test and i was able to get something so i know that i know i can do this.

Your ak is looking lovely, im currently growing ak48 and i could only hope they come out as good as yours
