Hey everyone, back again with a 3rd grow after a much needed summer break.

Tried cloning for the first time and took 8 cuttings of the Pineapple Express, only 2 have survived at Day 3. I'm going to practice, practice, practice to get my % up.

Working on getting a cloner built so I can get out of the RW

No pictures for now, have to find my cable for the camera. But maybe later tonight or tomorrow i'll dig it out.

Having a little issue(use that term lightly) with white spore mold on the top of my grow stones and RW when I first transplanted and that stuff was wet, but now that the canopy is blocking out light its not so bad. Took rocks out that had it on, i'll use an h2o2 and water solution and spray on before lights off.

I'm doing something similar except with a tote. Was helpful showing me a good way to get a thread to match the sprayer heads as thats what I was worried about. I was figuring i'd have to glue them in.

Have you vegged with a 600 MH before?, I'm thinking of swapping to T5s for veg but I'm wondering how comparable the T5s are to my 600w MH. Sorry for the off topic chat brother.

Subbed.

The MH is better only because its a higher wattage and offers more lumens. I do have a 600w Ushio MH conv. but for some reason it doesn't seat well in the Xtrasun reflector I have and thus doesn't always fire by timer. Sucks. But my HPS works fine so not too bad. I tried a different reflector and it worked fine for a week straight so I know its the reflector as it doesn't feel like it seats properly.

When I was using it I was just beginning so I cannot compare to how well the t5 grows. But the t5 is only 324w @ 28.2k lumens (87 lumens per watt) vs 600w super MH at 55k (91.6 lumens per watt). Not that much difference considering the t5 was 160 and the MH was 70 and the ballast was I think 200 + 90 reflector. $360 vs $160. Cooler temps with the T5 also. Same footprint just about. So I would say T5 beats MH all things considering. Not to mention the fact you can get T5's closer which would allow less lumens being wasted which may give the edge even in the lumens per watt section to the T5.

Oz. of some Fruity Chronic Juice I pulled off my first grow. I trimmed that plant down to the nug, very neat.

Thanks! Currently getting Isaac'ed in the room right now and dealing with a bit of flooding. Good thing i'm running hydro and not soil or else i'd be dealing with a muddy mess and possibly over watering. Hahahah!

Pulled 9 more clones off Power Africa today.

I'm finding all my plants have this white mold/green algae on the top of the rockwool and white mold on some of the grow stones at the top.

Does anyone know the maximum h2o2 you can give a plant before you hurt it? I wanna kill this shit as I don't want mold spores blowing around while theyre in flower.

Worked on my cloner today. Just need to drill the holes for the sprayers and im set. 40 dollar 45 site cloner.

Thanks UC! I did that a few nights ago when I noticed it. I'm going to use 2ml/l of h2o2 like I did last time and water it over the RW and growstones, but this time im going to cover the tops of the pot with a cover.

These netpot lids I have are poorly designed so that if you don't plant like 3 inches up you're going to have light come in through the extra slots above and its going to be difficult unless you cut the netpot cover to cover the top of the medium. I wish this netpot was like 3-4 inches deep. Plant 1/2 inch up and got 2 inches above to fill in with medium. But no it has to be like 7 inches deep.

Good news! Out of the two surviving clones one of them set root. The power africa clones I took don't look too great, put them in rapid rooters this time as I didn't feel like conditioning the rockwool. Feeding the rooted clones .5EC and the non rooted ones .2EC water/nutrient solution. Water is .13EC

Still trying to figure out how ill make the sprayers go into the pipe. Thats the only thing holding up this cloner project im working on.

Day 1 of h2o2 treatments.

DSC04281.jpgDSC04271.jpg
My cloner setup.

45 netcups and neoprene sleeves = $30
pump = free ($20 normally)
fittings(1 male adapter, 4 elbows, 1 tee, 2 caps) = $2.50
1/2 cpvc pipe = free ($3 normally)
30gal bin = $8
25 sprayers = $5

total cost for 45 site cloner = $40, $63 if I had to buy the pump and pipe.

Used a 2-1/8" hole drill bit to make the holes in the bin, still figuring out how I will mount the sprayers. But i'm figuring 7 on each horizontal pipe and 2 on verticals

I have the same green/white buildup on my rockwool, I think the green is algae from water+light and the white stuff is salt from nute buildup. I would try to pile up the little clay rocks around the rockwool to hide it from the light. Idk how to clean it yet though. If someone lets you know I wanna find out too :)

I've been using h2o2 29% at 2ml/l pouring a liter of it over my rocks/RW and then I put netpot covers over them. This will hopefully remove it all in a week as I wanna push them to flower soon.

The white is mold me thinks and the green is algae.

Jaze - The smoke was good, I liked the PE better.

Lots of my seeds are a flat color, usually a beige or light brown. Nearly none of my actual strain seeds are striped.

Your room is looking amazing! However, why the 42 site cloner? You were much much better off with a 12 site or smaller. 42 is just too much man, especially considering the size of that pump AND the size of room you have. Do you really see yourself filling up that space? If you reduce this same setup to something like a 4-5 gallon container, and use that same pump with 12 sites, I guarantee you that you will get roots much faster.

Also, I see that you have a booster fan in your tent? Is that for an AC intake? If so, I would suggest you hanging that air pump in front of it. My pump is directly in front of my AC, and my room floats at 70 while the water ranges between 62-68 degrees, without a chiller.
