600 watt LED Closet Grow - Round 1!

Hi there.. this may be posted in the wrong section so my apologies in advance. I consider this a sort of stealth grow.

This is my second post around here and I just wanted to share with you a current project I have going on inside of a small closet.

I'm working with Fox Farms Ocean Forest mixed with perlite and Black Gold organic soil, using 2 gallon fabric smart pots. The light is a ViparSpectra 600 watt LED... 20/4 light cycle with fan blowing across canopy. Currently hanging 24" above. I don't intend to use nutes.

The plants are on the left Auto Bubblegum by Kera, on the right, AutoBlueberry by Dutch Passion and the baby up front is Dutch Passion Auto White Widow. I also germinated an Auto Bubblegum in a Solo cup for a micro experiment, just for fun.

The seeds sprouted from soil on February 14th and so far I've done a simple tie down using string and safety pins to get the LST started. The lower growth has begun nicely.
Hoping for the best!

Pics are from Feb. 20 - 28

Well I was thinking of adding nothing. The soil is Ocean Forest and seems to have everything good in it already. I also read that autos can be sensitive to nutes...however, I may give a light feeding of Big Bloom later on, I'm not sure. Cheers!

Thank you and I appreciate your input. What criteria do you have for adding cal and/or mag and what brand do you use?

Here's what's going on with the AutoBlueberry on the left (into flower for a bit now) and the AutoWhiteWidow on the right which took longer to preflower and after a final LST tie down at the top, is still stretching but has many pistils now.

I'm using Big Bloom dilution now, and that's it. Nothing too crazy happening here but next time I'll do regular photoperiod seeds.

Hey man looking like a decent grow you have going on, just wanted to see how your light is going? Im looking at buying the 450w version or possible the 600w. Is it holding out well? And how loud is it? Im looking at growing in a 2x2x6ft cabinet myself.

I'm here friend,I'm not going to disappear..
It seems to be a worthy investment this light. I'm considering adding a smaller supplemental primary red spectrum light for bloom support, when I can.

Any recommendations for an effective lower priced one?

The latest AutoBlueberry is looking wonderful after some LST yesterday. I have a lighted magnifier arriving today so that I can check the ripeness of the 73 day old AutoBlueberry (I think that it's just about ready to chop)

Here are some updates photos from the last few days.

And to your Question about the bloom light ud probably get away with using either a couple of CFLs within the right spectrum. Everything I've read seems to suggest its better using multiple CFLs than one larger one.
I.e using two 50w ones opposed to 1 100w one. Being that you have the option of then moving them around to better light the plant and arranging them to advoid dark spots or anything like that.

Have also seen some pretty decent 20-30w LEDs that do the job like the E27 downlights you can pick up online or instore again you can get all the right spectrums/full spectrums in these as well. I must say ive never used any of these yet or even grown ahaha but I'd like to think ive put in a fair amout time researching similar options for myself. Most of which has been off RIU and google hahaha

So no expert but hope maybe that sorta gives you something to look out for and a strating point at the very least haha
