600 or 1000w

So I'm facing a problem... its quite simple I'm basically in 4x3x6 space ....
600w my temps are between 80-85 ....
1000w my temps are between 85-92...

it seems as though my yield has greatly reduced judging from the looks of the smaller bud sites/flower i'm almost 4 weeks into bloom

currently running my 600w I'm tempted to put the 1000w back in and just let them deal with the higher temps.

is this a good idea?

I know IDEAL TEMPS are anywhere from 70-77

What is YOUR vote 600 or 1000w?

1000w on 3x4?? 600w is plenty for 3x4, I know cause I had that before I upgrade to 4x4' (and still use 600...) 1000w is for 5x5 but at least a fat 4x4. 6 high is also tight for 1000w.

That's normal around week 4 if you still have the finished swollen buds from last cycle in mind. :)

in 5 days she will be at 4 weeks... I'm really hoping she packs on some weight here pretty soon very small buds thus far... that's why I'm wondering if I should go with a 1000w instead of my 600w ??

I'm using a XXL magnum i dont think I'm able to run my 1000w becuz my temps are between 80-90. This guy is saying the XXXL magnum arent meant for anything less than 1000w but can still use 600 kinda contradicting..

It matters more depending on the area your trying to illuminate. If you were trying to illuminate a larger area it wouldn't be efficient. your only working in a 12sqft area so it's kinda irrelevant.

okay cool, well hey i have a Galaxy switchable ballast (sunsystem) i believe Im going to try 1000W on cooler days here in washington and on the hot days Im going to dim the 1000w to 600w and see how long i can rid that out? Ive hear of friends running there tents upwards to 9- and they have been growing for over a decade ... they say as long as you have proper air movement they should be okay ... TRUE?

yeah if they are using CO2 supplementation.

no c02? .. so should i just dim my 1000w to 600 ? or go buy a 600w bulb?
In Co2 enviorments above a 1000ppm plant can handle and actually may grow better in higher temps. You honestly don't need to run a 1000w in that small space, and I don't think it will help you yield more since your temps are high and your not using co2

so it would make more sense to dim my 1000w watt down to 600w setting on my ballast and let it roll?

yeah, your still using the same amount of electricity, so ideally you would want a 600w ballast, but that's a problem for a later date.

I dont believe I would be using the same amount electricity as the manual states it deacreases the wattage 40 - 60 %

no u would be using less power when you dim it to 600 . the only thing is you wont get the true spectrum from the bulb , ive been doing it though to try and beat the heat but it would be ideal to put a 600 bulb in when dimming to 600
