5x5 Vero29 Tent Setup

Maybe I can make my own brackets so that all 9 units are connected, spaced at 20"x20" and only use 1 ratchet?
That is exactly what I was going to suggest
Or just some sort of a bar that all three hang on from one set of ratchets

If you can slide each fixture back and forth on the bar you will be just like Aquarium Pants :o

Haha yeah no kidding. Maybe Jeff could make special brackets for the optimal 20"x20" spacing? He'd just need to make each bracket about twice the size that they are now. Give or take.

I am looking forward to see your 5x5

I'm patiently waiting the arrival of the pre order but I definitely will post once it's all set!
You are a better man than I am... I'm totally impatiently waiting. :)

My situation is a much smaller scale -- I've got two units coming for a 2 x 2.5 x 6 space, so I'm not too worried about positioning (both over one single plant...).

Do they come with the brackets, or are they extra? I didn't see an option on the pre-order for adding brackets, but maybe I missed that?

I'd bet that 2 will turn into more in the future ;)
The brackets do come with each unit but Im unsure if I'll make my own to maximize the 9 units. I'll see once they arrive :)

Good to know about the brackets. If 2 does turn into more, I'm going to have to build another room (I have a veg tent and two flower "closets" at this point) -- or build just one big one, which someday I'd like to do. But for now, there really isn't much more I can do to improve the spaces I have. 180W of glorious COB lighting over one plant it a space only a little larger than a 2x2... how much better can it get? :)

160 actually watts, but I agree. That plant will be happy as hell! :)
I'm thinking of ordering 2 more units to have 3 for my 2x4 veg tent. I was planning on running 8 in the 5x5 and 2 in veg tent but have now decided on using 9 in 5x5 which would leave me with 1 for my 2x4. Not quite enough. I think 3 in the 2x4 for veg would be plenty.

I'm considering combining a Mars II 700, a Mars 144x3 Reflector, and 2 W90's in a 4x4/5x5 space (can make it either size).
The plan is to have the 700 flanked by the W90's in one row, and the reflector in the other row. I know Mars has an incredibly argued reputation, but it's what have. Total (actual) watts is ~750-775. I wish the best success to all!

I've owned a 900w Mars II(sold it) but I never used it to bud. I know they have a bad reputation, but I experienced good vegetative growth with it so, I think you'll do just fine!

50w per square foot with Vero29s I've been told is overkill.
I'm still at the beginning of the learning curve...

What it sounds like you are implying -- by specifying "with Vero29s" -- is that for different kinds of light sources there are different optimal watts per square foot? Did I understand that correctly?

And what is considered the sweet spot with w/sf for Vero29s? Is it different for Vero18s?

Lot of variables there? I have been running between 160 -200watt vero per 2x2, and It depends on how the vero are setup and driven?
