I didn't read it as @patrickkawi37 being an ass or a troll, he was just being honest.
He's been around here for quite some time and from my experience honestly try's to give good advice (and is usually pretty spot on IMHO).
Take a peek @ the link in his sig, he's a pretty nice guy that is a straight shooter & a damn good grower as well.

I am an asshole at times. But If you listen to what I have to say.. I'm only here to help people... So they don't have to go through the aches and mental stress that goes along with figuring out how to grow properly. Op should take a month off this site and come back after the harvest.. When he realizes that the assholes were right

indeed. I dislike threads dedicated to "what should I yield"

so I could say, you have 4000w of HID @ 1gpw that would be 4000 grams.

or you could eff up and kill them. That would be a 0 gram harvest.

1gpw isn't going to happen unless it hydro and your c02 is at optimum ppm.

personally I think you might pull .5gpw

so make a journal and grow it, see what happens.

So here are two pictures one is a month old clone other three month old clone... The month old clone is 24" tall... This plant I will get a oz DRY maybe one n a half if I'm lucky... Second picture.. Three month old clone 42" tall 4ft around.... This plant I should yield 4-7 Ozs DRY.. I think the previous pictures don't do my grow justice. The clones that are 42" most are gonna have 8-10" colas... 2 Ozs a plant... Smh
My bet is that this canopy is no where near full enough for the yield you want. 5lbs form 4k isn't hard, but with that canopy. It's impossible.

A lot of really good growers are here in your thread . Nows your chance to change your know it all attitude.,and start taking in Information. Maybe start with providing more pictures, and information about your grow and budget.
we can help you dial in so you don't fuck up the next grow like this one. That is if you don't mail me all your nug and gear

looks like way to many leaves were picked off the plants they look skinny and bare at the bottom and middle
with 17 plants you should get at least 3lb 3-4 oz per plant if they stay healthy, try next time not to molest them as you have, you have lowered your yield by doing so

it will be interesting to see how they finish. they might fatten up a fair bit, or they might remain skinny hard to tell at this stage
some plants (mainly sativa doms) will not be so effected by all that foliage removal others will respond poorly

peace

I'm all like quality over quantity over here. But that could just be me.
Obviously quality comes first. But I mean if I don't pull 4-7 lbs I've wasted a lot of time, money n energy. I will have put six-seven months of hard work in n will be super bummed if I don't hit my minimum mark of at least 4ozs a plant average.. It's just kind upsetting to get on here n just have like 6 different people just bashing on you n you're grow that you've put so much time n effort into...

Thats half the problem nickle is we aren't trying to bash on you or your grow. We have shared some insights with you about your grow. I'm sorry that you don't like whats being said to you, but perhaps listening will help your next grow turn out that much better. We don't want to see you dissapointed with your outcome. I hate to see other growers fall short of their goals, however many growers set goals that they aren't prepared to reach.

thundercat is right. Not bashing.

from my outdoor exp I had about 100 plants veg out and then got hit with some cold weather and died. That's why I moved to an indoor garden. It does suck to loose something you put alot of effort into. But I talked with local growers and I can promise you that I learned and that shit wont happen again.

your grow is doing fine. Managing the heat and getting the environment down is a big part.

grow the strain out and learning what makes your plants tick. Second run with the same strain will go better.

it will be your own fault, why did you strip them bare like that ?
i can still see you getting a few lb but i doubt it will be anywhere near 5+ lb your looking for the plants are just too skinny and they do not look
as lush as they should do
you should of learned to grow before you set up such a big garden

You should feel lucky we are being honest and telling you about your shortfall ahead of time so you can prepare. My first run I started cutting it down thinking it was AT LeAST 6 lbs, when I found out it was in the 3s I almost cried haha. It does look like you have a lot invested, I've seen people do worse after investing 20+ thousand dollars. You are not the only person that's dealing with these situations. If growing was easy everyone would do it. Yes we feel bad for you. But the sooner you pull yourself together and figure out your next move, the sooner we will know if your going to stick with it or fail like he rest. If you live outside of california feel blessed. You could be living in Cali having to get rid of your indoor for 2200 a pack.

Lol I think all of you are in for a big surprise. Just because I pulled the main fan leaves does not mean I'm hurting my plants. I didn't pull those fan leaves until almost 4 weeks into flowering which at that point they are almost useless EXPECIALLY if they are covering up other bud sites... I've got things pretty well under control.... N any grow that you are able to finish n pull buds from should never be looked at as a fail.. Only a learning experience... Lol just so you know even with cfls.. I never pulled down a single plant that was under 1 oz.. Besides the autoflower clones I pulled off a grow. Only reason for under a oz on them was because they were pulled at 1 week into flowering... But that is a whole different game. Being able to pull auto flower clones, keeping them alive n getting a half or so off each one in only 5-6weeks of flowering for it to grow is a task.
