I have a 5 week old plant grown from bag seed its short not very tall but growing wider and big leaves I have it in a big pot its prob 5 gallons. Earlier today my leaves were perky and tonight when i went to turn lights off they were drooping down does this mean they need water?

and also can miracle grow nutes caus a tear in a leaf because the top middle thick leaf has a small cut/tear in it likr a bug was eating it or like some want took a slice of it with scissors? what is that from bugs or nutes?its just a pretty small tear but in one of the main looking leaves at the top

Sounds like you have yourself an Indica. This is good because these plants are pretty stress resistant. Plants anticipate the dark period and they "close up shop" before hand to keep themselves warm. I've seen this to varying extremes, from no movement at all to a plant that goes from palm tree to Christmas tree, but it is nothing to worry about.

Your plant needs water when the media you are growing in has become dry. A small plant in a big planter doesn't need very frequent waterings. Maybe every 3 to 5 days. You can tell it is a good time to water when you lift up the planter and it feels OUTRAGEOUSLY light. The best time to water is in the morning. When the plant wakes up it draws up water and nutrients to start its day, so you want to be there to make sure water and nutrients are available, but you don't want to water before bed time because this will increase night time humidity and the chance for mold.
