Ok so again I have roughly 10 plants ( I forget how many are growing) And I notice half of them have started get leaves of 7 while the others are geting leaves of 5....... So I was wondering does sex have to do with the number of leaves my babies get. ( All plants were germinated by seed) Now I know some of you guys might say that eventually the leaves of 5 will turn into leaves of 7, this wont be the case for my plants. I look at the newly forming leaves at the top and some a5 leaves while the others are growing 7's. Also I heard the Marijuana plants can actually get 9 leaves... True? False? Is the number of leaves on a plant have anything to do with sex???:weed: funny this lil icon has 5leaves while this lil icon has 7 :leaf:.... Help this stoner out guys!!! and girls!!!!

The amount of leaf points has absolutely NOTHING to do with sex.

Young plants start out with single point, then 3 point, then 5 point, and eventually 7 point leaves. Sometimes when clones are planted they will go through a big growth spurt and start growing single point leafs for a while, but they will eventually start growing normal leafs again.

It has to do w/ the strain, sounds like your using more than one. The number of blades on a single leaf can range. I've personally seen a 13 blade leaf, and I wouldn't be surprised to see larger leaves.

since no one actually said it the only way sex can be determined is by the presex white hairs female balls (more than 1 in a spot) male.... which can be found where the nodes meet the branch

This is true, your post is a bit unclear though, looks like your saying "white hairs female balls"

white hairs are female

Balls are male

More is not better, usually if you have an indica strain you'll have less blades, but they will be thicker. Vice versa sativas have more blades, but tend to be skinny and finger like. Both strains probably have about the same surface area, and every plant is strain is different.

ive read that the number of leaves in your upper sets depends on your lighting and growing conditions compared to what it has seen in the past genetically
