5 gallon bubbleponic box first time growing without soil

This is my first time trying out hydro. Always wanted to. This will be a trial run with some bag seed. The one on the left started in the system. The other two I just transplanted from soil. They were getting nute burn and root bound. I hope everything goes well.
Wish me luck.
Any tips or pointers are appreciated

Good luck brother....you're going to love growing in hydro. Just make sure you have enough air/bubbles going in the res, and also make sure no light leaks and that the res temp stays in the mid to high 60s (no higher than low 70s otherwise consider running beneficial bacteria/fungi tea). I too just recently switched from soil to hydro and was shocked to see difference!
Happy growing brother and let me know if I can assist you in anyway

You'll want some wind over the seedlings as well to strengthen the stalk. This improves co2 to the plant as well. Also helps in flower when or if your colas get too top-heavy.

Thanks. There isn't any hydroponic stores within 100 miles of me. Right now I'm using the mg plant food that came with my aerogarden. I also bought some mg liquafeed I have all purpose and I have bloom for flowering. Any suggestions

Honestly dude I'm not sure whether or not these can be used in hydro and how safe they're for your ladies. You can wait for someone to chime in. Also you can order nutrients more specific for your plant or at least your system online. Start with something good and relatively cheap like GH FloraNova which is a a simple 2 bottle system. Its concentrated too so you end up using less. Consider it next to some of the other ideas that will be presented here later by others ;-)

I've done a little reading about them. I've heard good and bad. Only thing bad is that it's lacking some beneficial things.
He'll I may just get a big ass fish tank crowded with goldfish and use the water from it. What do u think about that

when you can , get better nutes for your grow , stuff that comes with the aerogarden is doable but you will have better control of feeding with GH and such , get yourself a ph/ppm meter (hanna) are fairly cheap . I like my aerogarden for clones and starting seeds... another thing to have is an measuring device to measure 1/4 , 1/2 , 1 tsp and tablespoon ... so you can dial them in .....good luck !!!!!

Got some flora nova. About how much should I use in a 5gal res?

Great dude......I'd just follow their feeding schedule. Now what I did initially was that I reduced their recommended dose (for the initial stages) to half the dose and moved slowly up observing the girls for any sign of nute burn! Like start with 4-6mls FloraNova grow in your 5 gal res and go from there! This stuff is very thick and concentrated. Make sure you shake the bottle well before you syringe any out. Then make sure you mix it well in the res. Also, keep in mind this nuts line may stain the roots a little. Don't worry thinking its rot! Just keep an eye on the growth!

I'm going to give you some advice. Take it how you want .

Put your plants in the flower cycle now. Right now! At that size with that small 5 gallon, they will be huge for the two months of flower.
The roots will tangle so you wont be able to remove them. They will drink 5 gallons in a day maybe two. They will be fighting for light up top. They will grow bud that makes them lean in all kinda directions and you will have to stabilize them. They will become a huge hassle.

I know what your thinking. "why put them in flower now when I can veg longer and get more bud?"

I'm trying to help you.

I was actually thinking of setting the lights to 12/12 this weekend. Usually if everything is right they are one third of the size that they will finish when you set them to flower. And by the way they are growing now I figure that is going to be true in my case. Thanks for all the advice guys. I will keep you all posted with pics and updates. And I will probably have a ass load more questions to LOL
