Plants are nutrient locked out, been having a lousy month and its showing in all aspects.
Had a friend call it quits a month ago and my heads been up my ass ever since.

On the bright side I got my led build done,
600w of Eb strips. No more heat issues.

With the lockout I noticed the leaves were dying that were closest to the light, does that make sense?

Anyways I got my fingers crossed I can pull out of this View attachment 4034494 View attachment 4034503

I was at my local store and saw 1) ocean forest 2) coco loco "never heard of or seen a thread on it and aske but knew little about" 3) happy frog
Damn im glad i didnt get the coco. But use the ocean forest as i heard many great things and also helpful tip on using and amending the soil.. Right now i have a sterlite tub full of the big bag of ocean forest, perlite, epsom salt, and coco brick that was Used with diluted bloom nutes to fluff. Doing a good job so far only fed water w/1tsp of tiger bloom ph to 6.7
I watered tonight at 6.3.

Happy frog ain’t as hot as ocean forest is why I used the happy frog but wanted to try out coco loco since not a lot of people have used it .. Stupid me ... Lol next run straight Happy frog might mix with ocean forest to get 1/2 hot half less hot...Lol and 2 8Qt bags of perlite.. on my first run I didn’t add perlite and that killed me so I added 2 this time and working good other than coco loco problems

I was thinking of using happy frog for my seedlings but they r all out. I was using burpee organics seed starting mix and that stuff worked great 4 dollars a bag and lasted a while. Has Part coco in it and i would us til about 2 to 3 weeks from sprout and then uppot with the ocean forest mix for another month or so. Only water then uppot to flower same soil and hit with the bloom around week 3 of flower. Getting Beastie bloomz this weekend for a pk booster instead of using tiger bloom 2-8-4.
The nitrogen has been killing me as u know the soil is hot already so adding extra nitro in flower sux ass but it was all i had

Thanks brother it's been depressing watching my babies suffer, but I should have this sorted out soon.

Still looking like I'll have some nice buds though!

Yeah bro I always add a lot of perlite. More than most people because I like to water a lot.

I use promix organic potting mix for vegetables mixed with perlite and promix hp. Great drainage an it feeds for quite a while. Roots love it too, more air you can get to then the better.

Thinking about going straight organic eventually, not in the next cpl runs but down the road after I move.

Same here man. I grow for quality and flavour not quantity, and at the present time it seems the terpene profiles are most developed and complex when grown in soil organically.
But I want to.try other methods too, maybe a small flood table SOG just for shits too.

Week 7

Well, things have been awful shitty the last few weeks, had to flush all four plants again this week. Runoff ph is still 5.5 at best.
Flushed 3x volume of plain 7.5 ph water through each pot with the last gallon or so being a very light feeding of bloom, voodoo juice and some cal mag.
Really just hoping for the best here now.

Nice grow! What water do you use? And how often did you use cal/mag?
I use my city tap water (160ppm) with a product that neutralizes chloramine.
I was not using cal mag, did not really need it much throughout my grow, maybe once or twice early on.
But after switching to led I have started adding it, just a bit to bring my ppm up to about 250.

I have been battling ph issues and I think I have it nailed down.
My problem was using too much promix hp mixed with my soil.
It's too much peat, as it started to break down the last few weeks it dropped my ph level to 5-5.6.
Ive done a couple good flushes and got my runoff ppm down to about 300, now I'm just going to more or less treat it like hydro.

Learning alot this run

Well after my last flush (3x volume with a feeding of about 700ppm to finish) they seem to have gotten worse.
I'm not feeding anymore for the next bit, maybe some cal mag but that's it.
Probably 2 weeks left. Doubt I will be able to go longer anyways.
