i would plant them already, but thats just my opinion. ive read alot alot about germinating seeds. and most ppl germinate when they have old seeds that might not be viable anymore. most seed companys sell viable seeds. remember that the seeds uve been using are bag seeds.they probablly need the extra work to sprout but those seeds u bought should be fresh. i know the feeling of loosing exspensive strains/seeds. it breaks your heart. trust me.
are you going to keep these as mother plants? or just a one time thing going straight into flower?
so i should try putting them straight into the soil? yes, these are 1 time grows, no clones and no mother plants, if they turn out ok, ill jusst get more seeds if the strains are good.

This looks like an interesting grow! U-haul wardrobe boxes, nice lol. 4th grow, I'll go through & read some of your other grows. Happy growing!!
hey thanks shadow, +rep for stopping by. i hope this to be my best grow yet.

i agree i only germinate my beans becuase they are a little early they are all white and pale in color so im not sure about em...but wen u germinate u are simulating the soil...a dark wet warm place...so y not just save urself an extra step and put them right into the pot covered with a bit of soil and some water and then blam! imo

ok, heres a pic of where they are right now, still just the little tail out of the kushwidow and just the crack on the shell of the blue mataro. if i put them in the soil now, do i still leave the lights off for now and just wet the soil down to get it moist, right? thanks for the help guys, really!!

Yea If they both popped open then you should be 2 for 2.. I agree with throwing the into the soil at that point but I've also done the paper towel method with about 98% success. You can leave the lights off if you want until the pop up and show themselves..

The bugs that are in my soil arn't any of those bugs on that list you put up. At least I'm pretty positive there not.. They really haven't cause any noticable damage to the plants so I guess I'll just ride it out and see what happens. I have read that there are certain bugs that wont hurt your plant, there just so damn small there hard to get a good look at..

try to pin one of those bastards down and get a look under your scope, LoL. hope they dont hurt the plant.

thats the thing, all of my seeds except 1 has popped like this, but like he said, these are better genetics, so there in the soil and now im waiting, LoL. i mean in nature, theres no one out there germinating the seeds, they fall on the ground and grow, LoL. it just cant be that hard, LoL. i'll just be happy when i see green sprout!!!! i can handle it from there.

There are tiny little hoping and flying bugs that you may see kinda on a regular basis that do no harm at all to the plants. They eat each other and other micro organisms. Consider urself lucky cause I found spider mites on mine yesterday.

7:30 pm, still nothing yet, not that i expected anything yet, LoL. i just watered them again to keep the soil moist. i added the 8" fan on medium in front of the passive intake to help keep the heat down, when there were only 2 bulbs it was ok. with the 4 bulbs, its getting up into the 90's. with the door cracked open, its in the high 80's and the soil dries up quick. man, i hope i see something popping up soon or im gonna be pissed. tonight at 10 pm will be 96 hours since i started them in the paper towels. i'll be so happy when i see these things start to break ground.

Thats about the same temp under my lights, I try to keep it at least under 90 but some times when it get 86 in the room it creeps up.. I feel like as long as you keep fans blowing on the tops of the canopies you will be fine. Good luck with the babies, I hope you see something within the next couple days!

I'm sure there are probably better ways, but I've always just used wet paper towels to germ and its worked great 4 me. My BBG popped out overnight. I put her in paper towels last night, came home today and she had a big tail crawling outta her. she's in soil now. I'll say a prayer for ur babies.

hey thanks mass, man im scared right now, i hope this happens, ive used the paper towel every time and it worked fine also. i dont know why it didnt this time but we'll see what happens now that there in the soil. the temp is down to 91 with the door closed.

well, went to walmart, they had 1 jar of grandma's, $2.24, the $1 off coupon didnt work, LoL. i was gonna get water and a gallon of milk, but then i looked at shoes and they had a killer pair for $18, so i put the milk and water back cause i only had $22. i put the 1/2 inch of cardboard in the left shoe and man what a difference, i can almost walk right, much better!! the 5th will be 9 months since i busted up my hip and knee and atleast im walking again. some of you might remember what happened, i got thrown out of a golf cart at 30 mph at the race track back in feb. so, thats the story on the shoes, LoL. which led to me to start growin and finding this site when i had so much time just layin around. ok, im done, LoL.

hey u should try just using one or two of those bulbs and raise um pretty high away from the pots i have had 100% success rate doin it this way they dont need alot of light or light period to sprout but raise them as high as possible and take a few out ur temps will be str8 aswell...also i dont water the whole pot wen i have a seedling...i use a little bit of wter and water directly over the seed but not to much just enough to get a little bit of area around the seed...try that out see how they react

i unscrewed 3 of the bulbs and lowered the pan, thanks for the tips. the temps dropped right down. should i leave the light on 24/7 for now till they pop?

hey Concord i'm pretty sure, from what i've read, is seedlings will pop up reguardless of light in the first few days, even if there is not light haha. GL :)

i wouldnt go 24/7 i dont beleive in that hype becuase plants need the night to finish its process and grow... try a 18-6 or a 16-8
