Hey all,

I just wonder would 46w (230w) 6500k be enough per plant? Or maybe two or more plants?
Having 1.5m(square) grow closet with reflective covering.

Lamp box says it does 3150 lumens.

Somehow i planning on growing 5 plants but i have only these lamps - how much is needed for vegetation?

Thanks

It depends on how big your plants will be, though starting veg obviously one bulb can be enough. Peeps usually plan with watts per foot. A 4' 8 bulb t5 panel running at 400 watts puts out 50 watts per foot. You can grow with less, but if your plants are going to be 2 foot bushes (4 square feet) 12 watts per foot will be pretty weak. 4 plants in a 2'x2' area with 4-5 of those bulbs would produce really well.

You can grow with that but more light is better. I have 4x 42 watt CFLs over 4 plants right now and they all seem happy. Best of luck to you.

With 45w of light per flowering plant, I doubt you'll be happy with the results come harvest.

In my opinion, you'll do extremely well to yield an ounce dried and cured with that amount of lighting, which over a 4 month seed-to-harvest period, equates to a quarter ounce a month. Hardly worth it, unless you only smoke a couple joints a week.

At least double your lighting with 2700k bulbs during flower to give yourself a chance of a decent yield for the time you invest in growing the plant.

Also, read up on LST. It's a technique which helps maximize the potential of your CFLs.

My 2 cents. Good luck.
