So,I guess ill start by saying a bit about myself. I've been growing weed on and off for a few years now, starting about 2012. I love growing weed, theres just something fufilling about growing your own stuff. I feel like a lot of people on this site can relate to that.

I also want to give a shout out to some members like Jigfresh, Whodat, and Thundercat. i followed and learned a lot from their threads, so thanks guys! it would be an honour to have them stop by.

Starting this grow journal for outside feedback as much as for personally documenting and organizing things.

Just started my seedlings on Septembers 16th. They popped up on the 17th. They're hanging out in some rockwool cubes, and im using sunday containers from dairy queen as humidity domes.

Just put the cubes in netpots with some expanded clay pebbles, soaked them all in distilled water ph'd to 5.5-58.

I fed them about 200ppm nutes, lightly misted on them since the medium is inert at this point. Was a little worried about feeding them that young, but they seem to be liking it.

Ill post some pics of the first few days, maybe upload some of the grow room i have set up tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by!20170920_204317.jpg 20170920_204329.jpg 20170920_204254.jpg 20170920_204242.jpg

Good temps, good airflow, humidity's not terrible either.

i decided to put the seedlings under the 400w at about 2 feet away. I know its a little early, but i've been watching them carefully. No signs of heat damage or wilting.

I've got a large fan blowing on the hps so im sure they'll be fine.

Anyways, on with the pics

Update:

Girls have been up about a week, so far so good. I'm thinking ill put them in buckets tomorrow, they seem to be taking to the hps pretty well. It's only a 400w but itll get the job done.

Oh btw the strains im growing are cbd medihaze and skunk #1. Strictly for personal use:eyesmoke:

If anyone's got any input on their favorite strains, low odour strains or anything like that feel free to chime in.

Update: put in the buckets today.

The edges of the leaves look a tad yellow, looks like nitrogen deficiency? im not sure they're pretty young to tell.

Any outside opinions are welcomed :)

ph 5.6, 217ppm grow (2-3-5)

im gunna buy some cal-mag tomorrow when the shops open to boost N and give some micros.

cal mag should green them up a bit I still have my switchable 250-400 setup I would start them out with the 250 & then when I flipped I would switch over to 400 w. it worked good switched over to led about a year ago but keep that setup for back up I'm running 2 tents both 3x3 one has 340w. cob & the other has a clw ss-275 which pulls 200w. so both lights total 540w. In lights both tents are single plant grows in royal gold tupur I'm still learning IMG_2829.JPGIMG_2832.JPG

Thanks for the advice stickman, i was thinking the same thing actually, but different people say different things. so i resorted to a book i bought when i first started growing. never steered me wrong!

its called indoor marijuana horticulture by jorge cervantes, hes got a wonderful, full colour index of plant deficiencies and nute burns.

skimmed through and it looked like slight n deficiency. since they're working on there 2nd set of true leaves i figured they were deficient. bought some calmag and they seem to be greening up nicely.
If anything changes or worsens, ill do a quick flush and hopefully that'll do the trick.

love the scrog herk, i've always wanted to try it. ill be topping and training these ladies soon enough, but im gunna feel things out before i start filling a screen or anything haha.

heres some pics of the nutes im using, the room and the girls. they're 9 days old here

so, im thinking a little nute burn was the problem. was at about 325 ppm, dropped it down to 250.

also having temp issues, nothing above 29c but its still showing.

bought a humidifier, . rearranged the fans as well.seems to be helping a bit

still pretty impressed with the growth overall, lots of new little roots growing into the buckets so they found something they like down there.

on with the pics, 2 weeks old here

had the first snowfall of the season here today, and the power went out almost immediately. spent the whole morning at school worried it wouldnt come back in time to save my little roots hahaha
