sweet! I will def check I out. also I did some serious reading up, and I think your led shouldn't be as close as you have it, even if it doesn't bleach. it can stunt growth being that powerful. I know it sounds weird to even say that but I had mine hella close before and as soon as I put it back to about 18 inches it starting taking off again! the 5w diodes penetrate plenty, and it needs a certain amount of distance to blend all the spectrums of light. just my 2 cents bro! link me to your grow I would love to watch

My first grow (4x4 grow tent). Idk how to link u to it but that's the name of the journal. I actually had to raise my light once I put in the hps so they're both level. I wasn't noticing any problems with my plants before I raised my light but now I do like having the light higher everything is growing more even. Good point

I ask that just because a 3W LED might for your needs better. If your budget is upwards of 3,000 I Would look into the California light works LEDs, or black dogs they have nothing but incredible results

yea thats what makes it so overwhelming looking into them. california light works everybody seems to agree on. and yes i would most likely keep doing the scrog as i am trying to dial in a reliable scrog method that would be suitable to scale up for commercial appplication

hey man im about to buy either 2 vipar 400 watt leds for about 400 delivered or should i go with 2 mars2 400 watt led for about 520 delivered? what would you recommend?

i read that the vipars draw more watts by up to 30 watts more then the mars 2?

I had both and I like the Mars better man. 5w penetrate a lot deeper, and the Mars 400 generated less heat with the 5 watters as the Vipar 400 did with 3 watts.

The lights in the viper appeared brother to my eyes I don't know how much that matters in your opinion though.

But hey just get on ebay and order form their company, they are going for 200 bucks a piece there. 400 total.

yeah its 405 canadian for 2 right now plus about a 100 shipping and then duty at my door im sure...
but they are 10% off right now... for a few hours anyways.

got any more recent pics so i can get a great idea of what they can do?

oh i forgot to mention i can get 357 magnum plus model for 400 cash in town here.
i just started a scrog with the one i bought the other day and that plants love it.

Those magnums are great lights. I will be doing a scrog with my 2 mars and an automazar next go around

Its strange to me the ones on the top cola are about 30% amber 40% cloudy and 30% clear, same for the other big ones on the sides, ill try to get a pic up in a few
