No I really don't do side by side as I am a personal grower ( my own MEDS ) ...
BUT..... I only keep the light systems that I like and the results.

I started some years back a shitbox mars hydro ... Even bought 2 more ... At the time I thought I was cool ....haha. Tried HPS ... Too fucking hot.

Went back to BLURPLE with Vipar ...... I know that most shit on these .....
BUT THEY ACTUALLY WORK ...VERY WELL.

I have a 600 and 900 , but the six really does grow my MEDS nicely.
It has no problems ... And works fine all day long. I grew mostly autos with it and got nice tight nugs for my effort. The key to these lights is you must run both switches ON , all thru the grow. The actual light spec is more bluish compared to OTHER BRANDS ( pink color etc. ) ..... I grew in a 48"x30"X 72" tent on a perpetual ... 2 flowering 2 vegging ..
Harvesting every 2 1/2 weeks give or take.

The 2 reds are DEEP RED ( 630nm - 660nm ) G8 BLOOM booster LEDs ....
I LOVETHOSE and use them in my quantum grows !

Very nice. Thought I’d give this mars hydro a last chance while I figure out what kind of light set up to run! HPS gets way to hot for a small tent where I’m located.

I'm really wanting to build a light even though the heat, for me, is a good thing in the winter. Just think it would be a cool project and yup seen good grows from lots of lights that some say are shit, I'm confused when I see a nice budded grow under burples and the comments revolve around "why the shitty light", id be proud to post a pic of the shitty light grow lol.

Just bought an HLG300 QB for $479 (usually $599), theres a 20% off christmas discount on their website. Been hearing alot about these QBs potential, so I decided to try it. Better quailty LEDs than blurples thats for sure. Theres a saying "you are what you eat" but im going to modify it for my fellow growers, "half ass your grow= Half assed product" .im putting top notch in my grows (im a serious grower) and im broke as a joke too, so dont make up excuses.

I’m not a serious grower and not making up excuses? I clearly stated in the beginning this was just an expirement while I dial other shit in. But okay

You will be a believer once you put the Quantums into the mix ....
These are the " Hot Toy " of the year for indoor growing. Plus they are upgradable .

HLG (Horticulture Lighting Group) has one HLG300 watt lamp for $479 ( with the discount). As for other QBs on the market I think chilled has some too maybe. As for DIY they have no boards in stock, I asked them when they would restock and they told me "no plans to restock" im guessing they are trying to sell all the prefabs they have in stock or something. They have an account on here, text them, they know more about their boards than I do.
