4 weeks, no triches

Hey,

I'm just wondering if anybody else grew strains that had no trichome formation at week 4? I was growing some free seeds I got years ago. I'm very used to 8-9 week flowering times, and with all of those, by week 3, you start seeing triches. These buds are so slow growing that I would characterize them as being about 10 days old.

This is a Sativa strain, looks like Jack and Beanstalk here.

Anyway, I've kept my old strain for just such an eventuality, but I was wondering if you had this happen and what your outcome was.

Sounds like a slowly blooming sativa, it might pack on a lot when it gets closer to finishing development but it might just be a strain you don't really want to keep around usually you want to see trics after the second week of flowering.

Exactly.

I can't say I'm tickled pink about 12 week flowering strains. Do the ends justify the means? We'll see. I'm only rockin' a 400 watter anyway, so I'm more limited by that than what any strain can do for quantity. The deciding factor will be how steller the smoke is, prolly won't know that until next leap year.

BTW, the strain is called sliver haze x blue hammer. It's done by NAW seeds (nerds at work). It was a freebie given away by Sannies and there's no info on it.

Hopefully she finishes strong, a strong sativa will put on a lot of weight late in flowering, sometimes they are worth it for the yield, sometimes not so much. Hope you get one of the good ones , never heard of nerds at work before but I have grown super silver haze and it is a truly remarkable strain , one of the best ever created in my opinion.
