4 Weeks in Thin Mint Girlscout CFL Grow

Hello everybody. I have my first grow going on right now, in a closet, using CFL lighting. Strain: Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies. Hybrid. Grown in Fox Farm Coco Loco medium. First pic was at week 1 after sprout, in 1 liter bottles, using (3) 26 watt cfls. These were under 18/6 for only a week. Second pic is week 3, 2 weeks in under 12/12 lighting, (1) 55 Watt, (1) 44 Watt, and (2) 26 watt CFLs. Final pic is of the two plants that showed most growth at their current state, 4 weeks since sprout; still under the same lighting, transplanted to 8 inch resin pots. Lights kept within 2 inches of plants throughout life. I switched the plants to 12/12 a mere week after sprouting to keep the plants short in stature. I move the lights upwards every 1-2 days to keep up with growth. Hope this first grow goes well!

Them plants look good so far bro I usually veg 4 weeks then switch to 12-12 but the first 2weeks the plant don't grow much so I'd go 2 more weeks the flip I mean depending how big I want them I'll show ya pic of mine I think they are like 6 weeks now but they been on 12-12 for a week or so

Thanks bro, that's good to hear for a first timer! Yea they didn't grow much during the first 3 weeks actually. I now wish that I would have vegged for longer, the 4 weeks like you stated, but I was in a rush to see those first buds lol. Ill definitely do that next time around. thanks bro.

Yea dont look bad i would tie down them branches if u havent already you will get way more bud in the end i ties all mine down now all the lower stuff if rite up where the main tops are so yea deff worth doing it just be easy i got a bubbas gift thats in veg and got 8 tops starting then im going to top then and have 16 main colas in the end trying to get more buds tited of only getting 20gs dry id like to get 2zips dry well good luck bro

Thanks Chuck. Yeah, I did some LST with the foam wire plant tie downs and zip ties. I'm hoping more colas make their way to the canopy soon. I wish I would have known about topping before I switched it to flower. 16 main colas sounds good to me bro! Right now mine only has about 6 main cola sites and about 4 shorter ones that need to push to the top! I think I'll add more lights soon.

Yea if u lived near me id hook u up with a hps 400w

That would be awesome. I've been looking into them but all the hydro stores around me have outrageous prices when it comes to the ballasts and the actual housings. Now if I could plug the hps into a simple lamp socket without burning my house down I would! Lol so I'm stuck with cfls for now. I'm in CA
