well today i looked really close and seen a very small bit of webs and noticed that it is definitely spider mites so i am going now to buy the pest strips and lime i also have two different problems i noticed on my other plants one has brown spotting on the large older fan leaves and the other on is just wilting but only on the bottom and its been like that for about 4 days i figured watering it would make the leaves rise back up but they are still wilted. i will post pics later and try and diagnose them myself first but if anyone wants to chime in on what it is more power to you. thanks again for the help

on the wilted one you probably have something funky going on with the roots. water it with some H2o2 2 tsp to a gal and see if it doesn't perk up in a few days. the other one may just be older leaves dying off. Could be a def, post a pic.

I got a no-pest strip and put it in my veg room about 24 hrs ago. I have fungus gnats and mites...will let you know how it works.

The wilt could be caused by over watering....are you letting the soil dry between waterings?

turn your exhaust off as much as possible for the next few days and they will be gone. promise.

Spider mites are usually secondary, meaning they are attracted to a weakened plant. So, you have the primary problem to search for but also the mites. A bit late for this but keep it in mind.

Ok so the no-pest strip is in my room now and i will see how eel that works in some time i suppose. I bought a new soil PH meter and tested my soil and everything is ok right around 6.8 is the highest and 6.5 lowest of my 4 plants. As for the dolomitic lime i could not find that at Home Depot, they had lime but it was pellets and i don't have a way to grind it up so i will try and source some powder lime today.
Dr. Gruber: I am letting the soil dry between each watering it takes about two days to dry then i re-water i check with a moisture meter and watch for wilting.
Wiseguy: Just to make sure before I go doing this you mean Hydrogen Peroxide correct? If so what does it do give oxygen to the roots?

Yes peroxide, go to a health food store and get food grade H202. Its 35%. It kills all the funky stuff and oxygenates the roots at the same time. h202 is not for an organic garden will kill all the beneficial microbs along with the bad ones.

Thats what i was thinking it just sounded good to do it as a preventative measure. Sounds great will do that when i am done eating

ok so I could not find 35% h202 but i was reading elsewhere that u can use 3% at 1 oz per quart so thats what i used because i already had that hopefully it will work. As for the spider mites they seem to be dissapearing pretty quickly with that no-pest strip thanks again for that great info. I also fed my plants again today so im praying things will start looking better in a couple days.

do some more research on the 3% peroxide, Yes , I understand it works and lots of people use it. It isn't very stable and contains some very bad things in. It's better than nothing just do your homework and if you are fine with it use it.

if I have some time later I will look for a link for ya and point ya in the right direction. But after i read it I stopped using it. Has to do with the stabilizers they put in it and has cancer causing agents. This may be of little concern if you just sell it or not plan to make any hash with it.
