i actually have 2 of them going. it is an unplanned sea of green kindo of taking up a 2x4 foot tent. my first grow i got 133 grams and and then my second was 174 grams. this one is looking like it should be quite a bit larger than either of those 2. i have read a good target to shoot for with hps lights is 1 gram per watt. i am getting about a half a gram per watt i think. if i can get 2/3 or a 3/4 i will be very happy.

i think i am at about 7 weeks into flowering. i guess it really isn't that much of a factor as they are far from done. all the trichs are nice and clear. so far i am impressed with the open sesame/beastie bloomz/cha ching regimen. the buds are much bigger and denser than my last attempt with these thai plants. the calyxes are starting to plump up a little too. i was trying to keep the branches from spreading out too much but i think they have stopped spreading out and are going to be growing upward now so i am going to use some stakes to shape them from here on out. the buds will need support soon anyway. the early lower buds i have chopped to give more energy to the upper buds have a pretty interesting buzz going on. trippy and energetic though i woke up the next day feeling a bit hung over. lol.

Strain History
The master breeders at Green House developed this Thai variety to honor the connoisseur qualities of Southeast Asian strains. The Green House Thai comes from a lengthy selection from the landrace genetics of Thailand. The aim was to select for non-hermaphroditic plants, since hermafroditism is often a concern with plants from this region. These true females were crossed with a male plant from the bordering country of Laos. Green House Thai is a long season variety, but the Lao male helped shorten the distance between internodes and speed up the flowering time. This Thai-Lao cross was stabilized and feminized to create the Green House namesake Thai strain.

Green House Thai is characteristic of strains originating in tropical paradise locations. It is a tall sativa with long, slender lime-green leaves and impressive branching. The extended lower branches grow almost parallel to the ground, making it a very space-demanding plant. Green House recommends growing this strain under conditions that allow it to be grown to full size in order to achieve good production. Trying to harness this plant to a smaller stature works against this plant's nature and will diminish results. Growing in a screen of green system offers enough space for the plants to spread out to full potential, and leads to a uniquely pleasing stash.

This plant is for the sativa connoisseur, the gardener with some experience, or the patient beginner who wants to experience an authentic Thai strain. The flowering time is over 14 weeks, and depending on the environment, may take up to 16 weeks to truly ripen to its full spectrum of cannabinoids and terpenes.

Green House Thai can be grown in either hydro or soil. When grown within its homeland, this plant performs very well outdoors, but the long grow season limits outdoor growth to the equatorial region. Nights must stay above 15 degrees Celsius (about 60 degrees F). This variety also needs proper beauty sleep to flower properly, with a strict regimen of the 12/12 photoperiod and no light pollution. While the light and temperature conditions are exact, Green House Thai is not a very demanding plant when it comes to feeding. An EC of 1.7-1.8 will satisfy all her needs. Because of the long flowering time, it is advised to keep the nitrogen at good levels until the 4th or 5th week of flowering, or the plants will yellow prematurely.

In the right garden, one that can ensure the necessary conditions and the lengthy season, the Green House Thai pays off with some highly introspective headstash. The flavors and aromas are delicate, nutty, and incense-like, with flourishes of sandalwood spice, cinnamon, and almonds. This strain will satisfy those who like marijuana for its mind-opening qualities. It is ideal for meditation, yoga, or any creative moment outside of the social sphere. It is also a very nice morning smoke because of the mild, but long lasting effect on the body.
------------
The Green House Green Thai has been in Arjan's collection for a very long time, and only recently Green House Seeds decided to introduce it into their 2010 seed catalog. It is a true connoisseur sativa, with a very tall attitude and a very long flowering time, over 14 weeks. The genetics are very special, because it is one of the few original Thai's ever selected that does not produce hermaphrodites. The high is mild but trippy, introspective at moments and always smooth. Sativa lovers always praise the Thai as one of the finest landraces to smoke all day long while staying productive and alert. The best results indoors are achieved allowing the plant to develop fully in size (vertically or horizontally), while outdoors the ideal environment is equatorial, tropical or mild Mediterranean. We suggest to start the seeds directly at 12/12 indoors.
----------------
A mother landrace Thai strain was bred with a male Laotian strain in order to create possibly the best Thai variety currently available. This 85% sativa comes in huge, elongated buds that emanate their glorious scent in whatever room they may be in. She’s not recommended for beginning growers simply in the sense that she takes between 14 and 16 weeks just to flower and she’ll require as much room as possible to grow, preferring a Screen of Green setup when indoors. Outdoors, she much prefers her homeland climate, but will thrive in nearly any equatorial environment, producing a moderate to heavy yield and growing huge in stature. Additionally, gardeners should note that levels of nitrogen should be maintained at a consistent or slowly degrading level for the initial month of flowering. This is to prevent the buds sucking the nitrogen from the fan leaves prematurely.
Unlike many mostly Sativa Strains, Greenhouse Thai does not provide any overly speedy or nervous effects. Many patients who suffer from glaucoma, migraines and other inflammation are highly fond of this Thai variety. If you can’t find it at a local dispensary, you should feel comfortable ordering it online from the breeder themselves.

Very nice plants. I bet you get some really good smoke too. Might have to give this one a try for myself. I'll stay tuned in to your grow and Good Luck ! bongsmilie

thanks foothills. i grew another one last year of the same strain. very nice smoke if you are not into a couch-lock, narcotic-type buzz. still have a bit left from that grow but i harvested it too early so this time out i am hoping for better yield and more of the thai taste i remember from my days as a teen. my teen aged sons love the buzz and having something nobody else has ever tried or experienced and the bag appeal is pretty nice too. i should be harvesting late next month or early june.

nearly at 8 weeks of flowering give or take a week. the trichs are still nearly all clear. the calyxes are starting to develop nicely. i am starting to need to provide support for the colas on the periphery. i am feeding them every third watering now. i was seeing some nute burn with feeding every other watering. the colas are an inch to 2 inches in diameter now. pretty fluffy still but being as it is a sativa, that is probably normal. i am also needing to get creative in rearranging the buds to get them all exposed to as much light with the limited setup i have. i am thinking now that i may have vegged too long and i will have the plants packed in like sardines by harvest time. i will be interested to see the difference between the the phenotypes. the fluffier light green one just looks weird...

Been subbed for a bit and lurking your amazingly colorful pics.

I am impressed and very jelly. I want some of these seeds because they colors look fucking awesome.

thanks blazed. i think the color is because of the cold they had to endure during this past winter while vegging. my tent was getting into the upper 50's. the smoke from my first gh seeds thai was very nice though and i'd recommend it. i have about a half ounce of underling buds i had been picking off as the canopy filled in and the buzz from them is really energetic. not properly cured or trimmed that well so it is a bit harsh but the final product i predict will be nicer than my first. the buds are going to be a lot bigger and they are getting to be the 'ickyiest of the sticky' as dave chappelle would say...

so i guess today is the end of week 8 of 12/12 lighting. i am waiting on some prolific plant probiotics that i ordered yesterday. some epic growers on riu recommended it and judging by the frostiness of their crops, i'd say i is justified. hopefully it is not too late for my girls to begin. watered yesterday with some molasses and a touch of cha ching and snow storm ultra. i think i am going to flush the shit out of my pots tomorrow though as the last time i did that, the buds seemed to really go through a growth spurt. maybe i am over-fertilizing them???

today was about 3 weeks since my last 'flush' which is the recommended interval from the fox farms soil schedule. i used the shower head which says 1.6 gpm max and directed the flow into the 3 gallon pots for a minute and a half each. then i finished watering them with aged water with some molasses. made the mistake of spraying the foliage and buds for a bit. not a bright idea as the stems are not used to the increased weight. on stem self-supercropped itself. i have it in a splint now. it was one of the weaker looking buds on the weaker looking plant anyway but i hope the splint will work. i thought it was a good idea to flush anyway because the leaf tips seem to be indicating a bit of nute burn. my wife got up and told me the house now reeks of weed. oops. she is right. lol...

the tent is starting to get warm too. after the lights were on for about an hour it was already 80 degrees. i turned up the exhaust fan speed to hopefully combat that. these plants have seen extremes in temperatures. in the dead of winter the tent would get into the mid 50's. now as we head into spring, even with the temps outside being relatively cool, heat seems like it might be a problem. i am getting some foxtailing i think due to the heat.

about 9 weeks into 12/12 lighting. i am backing off on the nutes now. i gave them half strength except for cha ching and snow storm ultra at about 2/3's strength. i also did some repositioning and staking of the buds to try to maximize the light the buds are getting. found a couple of amber trichs today so i will probably decide next week if i will stop nutes all together. my last plant went 13 weeks but one looks nothing like that one. the other may go for longer. i will be judging ripeness by when the pistils really retract into the calyxes. the frostieness is getting very nice. i also got my prolific plant probiotics(P3) in the mail and gave them a dose of them thanks to ultra frosty pics from dankster420 and sxlstew.

Outside of her room she looks so tiny! I love the orange hairs, but its such a long flowering period that I cold potentially grow 3 in that length lol. One day maybe, but she looks really good.

it is actually 2 plants. they are taking a long time and i am sure you could get 2 grows in the time it takes for one flowering period. i am not in any hurry though. i have a bunch of smoke left over from my previous grow. i really like the buzz of this strain too. very uplifting.

rolling up on 10 weeks of 12/12 lighting. i think one of the two is going to be done in a couple weeks. i am starting to see some cloudy and even a few amber trichs. she is finishing a lot more quickly that my previous grow and is markedly different from her sister that has been grown under the exact same conditions. very different phenomes. lots of foxtailing this go-round too. the good thing is i will get to spread the harvest out over a month maybe.

i watered the shit out of the plants again today. i am wondering if i may have been over fertilizing them, causing salt build up and stunting their growth. since i started flushing so to speak, i have been getting foxtailing like you read about(there - you just read about it) but also the buds have been plumping up. i also gave them a second dose of p3 as i read somewhere that too high p or k can kill what ever the fuck the organisms in the soil are called. sorry. smoking a bit today...

i sat down and took a good, long and slow look at the girls. there are very few cloudy or amber trichs. definitely need a lot more time. i need to come up with a good way of supporting the buds as they are getting too heavy for the stems. first world problems...

may try to use the screens i had for my scrog i did last grow. i didn't like that i could not get the plants out of the tent with the screens though as it made it so i could not properly water them...
