I've never agreed with removing air by floating it out the Tamisium way, because it mixes combustibles and oxygen.

To have a fire, you need fuel, oxygen, and an ignition source. Since fuel is a given, I remove all the oxygen first using a vacuum pump. That leaves only an ignition source left to control.

Having said that, sooner or later all active systems will aspirate some air and the storage tank require bleeding. The air bled off will be above LEL, so it's important to do so with adequate ventilation free of ignition sources.
