Funny you ask that question Bobo. I have never kept cuts in the past, but I did keep one of the Kali Mist. I used to have a friend who kept arounfd 20 mothers and always had cuts for me to take, so there was no need for me to keep my own. When he closed down his garden, and sent his mothers to a family member in SW Colorado I decided to start running from seed. Now I guess you could say I'm running in hybrid mode. I kept the KM cut because i want to do some crosses with her. I'm loaning some Pandora's Box seeds to a friend for his outdoor garden and planning to keep a cut off of that because nobody should be without a little Pandy in their lives. :-) Other than those two cuts I'll probably stick with popping beans.

Ahhhh quite interesting. That Kali Mist will be a good one to spluff... I'm kinda a strain whore, and would keep as many as I could. As a matter of fact, that's what I'm doing right now, lol. Did I mention I got my fingers on some Pandy seeds? :D Zing!

The Shooting Star has fallen in a blaze of glory. She's around 5 - 10% amber and definitely ready to land. I chopped the tops off this morning. They will be trimmed up tonight and the rest of the plant will be cut down for hash/tincture making tonight as well.

Here she is on her approach to Earth.

Shooting Star/303 seeds bringing the thunder!
Beautiful shots there Medshed. Still planning on making some "liquid herbal ambien" with this beauty? (speaking of which I have been meaning to send my thanks for your thoughtfulness bringing more tinc to the 420 bbq for my Dad, again I am sorry I missed it and I need to come up that way still and maybe we can have another smaller get together with some of the CO crew..)

Thanks guys!

Bshdctr - I left about 2/3 of the plant for "liquid herbal ambien". The Afghan Kush has been serving me well, but I'm excited to see how the Shooting Star stacks up in the "knock you out until morning" department. I agree that another CO RIU crew meetup is in order. It is hard to coordinate schedules with such a busy group...

Wow that plant is beautiful. It has just made me decide that one of the next two strains that I pop will be a 303 strain. I have some Ski Patrol and would love to find the purple pheno. I also agree about another RIU meet up. Once we find a host, maybe we could put together a Doodle poll to find out the next weekends where most of us are available. Also bshdctr, if you ever come to Boulder you should stop on by.

Nice med! I've been waiting on that post! terpin profile terpin profile!!!
I've been struggling to pinpoint the smell on this girl the entire flowering period. I think I'm going to go with a mix of pine, hash and some sort of citrus. I should be able to get a better description after it dries and cures.

Speaking of dried and cured, the Kali Mist is curing along nicely and the smell is coming through like over-ripe grapefruit. The smoke is really smooth and the high is very similar to what I recall of the original Kali Mist. I smoked a bunch of the flowers with a couple friends Friday night and spent all day yesterday pleasantly buzzed on tincture drops. Nice and clear in the head. Very sociable and upbeat, without becoming racey. I do think the come-down is a bit heavier than the original, but it is still not a crash. If BP is right about them using AK-47 for the new cross, I can see impact of it. I tend to hard crash and get the munchies bad on the come-down with AK-47. I get some of those effects with the Kali Mist, although not as strong as I do with AK-47.

aaaahhhhh yeeaahhhhh buddy!!! had the joy of checking her out last night and she is a stellar girl! fat dense structure and the incredible smells just like momma durban, and comparing my 2, this pheno is a golden child for a fem project. the 2nd pheno (I had 2) seems like she will take 12-14+ weeks to finish, I couldn't wait and gave em to another board member to finish out (needed the room to get the Italian Chocolate out of veg and into flowering)

awesome job bro!!

I hearby christen thee, Denver Durban!

I almost put Denver Durban in the title. I like it! Thanks again for the beans. Those girls are going to get heavy rotation through my garden.

Too bad I missed the pics of the Shooting Star...I'm sure it looked stellar.

The Denver Durban looks fantastic...should be an easy trim job!
