Whats up fellow growers and stoners,
My name's Bo and I'm here with my first ever grow.
Germinated these seeds 11 days ago and figured id start a brief journal to share my girls progress.
Going to be growing 2 Black Jack, 1 White Widow, 1 Blueberry, and 1 Amnesia Haze.
I was originally going to grow in coco coir but later decided Bubbleponics better suited me.

*I apologize in advance for low quality pics*

SETUP:
~ Room: Closet "about 4x7)
~ 3 DWC 5 gal buckets with 6 in netpots
- Reservoirs are plumbed together using 1/2" PVC. I added a 4th bucket to serve as a hub for water changes as i wont be able to access individual buckets once the SCROG net is in place
~ 300w Mars Hydro LED (will be getting 2 more in time)
~ 2 x 34w LED bulbs
~ General Hydroponics flora trio +Koolbloom, Florablend, Rapid Start root enhancer, Floralicios plus, and Cal- Mag
~ 2 x 12in pots with Coco Coir/ perlite mix

Seeds were started directly in Rockwool cubes and placed in a humidity dome until fully sprouted. I placed the strongest three plants in the Bubbleponics system and they've been there on 24 hour light for about 8 days now. The plants in Coco were a bit of an after thought... i already had the block of coco so i figured id grow the slow starting seedlings in there as an "experiment". i was super excited about the Amnesia Haze and I didn't want to toss it just because of a slow start. We shall see how she does i suppose ;) The plants in Coco have been under the lights for 4 days now. Here are the three in Hydro on day 9:

Here are the girls as of day 11:

A couple things you may notice:

1. The leaves on the Black Jack in my dwc bucket is curling up pretty bad. Not quite sure why, but I'm thinking maybe my temps too high in my room (79-83 degrees F/ 24%-33% Humidity). She seems to be growing well and is standing up nice and straight so I'm not too worried about it but it well definitely be something to keep our eyes on. Any tips or knowledge that you may be able to share with me would be greatly appreciated. As i said, its my first grow and I just want the girls to be happy :hump:

2. Both of the plants in Coco are missing a Cotyledon. I imagine this is the cause of the slow start in both the plants. Pretty sure they got ripped off by the Rockwool... Probably wont germ in Rockwool anymore:wall:

3. The pots are WAY to big for the seedlings that are in them. Trust me i know :dunce:. Im not too worried about those plants. If they die, shucks. if they live, right on. I'm aware that keeping the seedling watered properly will be quite difficult in the big pots but hey, if a plant can grow outside, then it sure can grow in this. it IS a weed anyway

Aside from those issues, things are looking smooth; maybe a little slow but smooth. I'll keep you all posted. Let me know how you think they're/i'm doing and feel free to point me in the right direction if you see something that's wrong.

cheers, Bo:peace:

what is your ph? what is ec?
Ph has stayed between 5.6 - 6.1 for most of the grow. Has gone as low as probably 5.5 and as high as probably 6.4 so I don't think its lockout (at least i hope not). Dont have a quality ec meter yet... Opted for the cheapy one. Bad choice. I can never get a consistent reading on it but best i can tell, im at about 450 ppm

she may be overfed for her size. also, use ec, not ppm. she should be getting about .6 or .7 ec right now, lower than where you're at.
a cheap ec meter should be fine, any one of these will work. calibrate your ph meter every couple weeks at least. mine strayed off half a point, caused some issues!
