Funny....yeah bonsais are a bitch to grow/indoors anyway....but about my light well it sounds like a leaf blower on low....yeah that bad...i don't know what to do...does the Ds series always run(fans) also or is it thermostatically controlled?? My inlines never sounded like this...
Sorry to go off topic.....
No worries about getting off topic. Good info sharing is important and no one has really brought up the sound level of the fans on either the ds or progrows. So the ds fans are always running I believe when the panel is powered on. Don't think they are thermostatically controlled, don't reminder that being mentioned when buying them and mine are always on so if they do have that feature id say it would have to be cooler than a grow room should be to turn off. The fans on the ds are very quiet though.

Hey Top Of The Morning To Ya Puff. You Ladies Are Looking Awsome.I Used Pipe Cleaners To Do Some Minor Lsting.I Thought I Was Very Agressive But After Reading Some Post In The Lst Forum I Wasnt.I Seen A Grow Where This Grower Tied His Entire Plant Around His Pot Before He Let It Grow Up Right It Looked Very Mid-Evil In A Cool Sort Of Way.Any Way Im Looking Forwards To The Flower Part Of Your Grow.Peace And Hair Grease :leaf:
Ive seen those types of training before and they are very cool. Sort of interested in trying a couple different training methods next time and considering this technique as one of them. Think the pipe cleaners thing you do is probably similar to what I have in mind. Thanks for sharing!

They told me it was normal and I can return it within 30 days........I asked for a replacement...but BEN just told me to send it back if I wasn't happy....I dunno maybe i'm making to much of it, but it does bother me....fuck and I paid 309 dollars for it!!
That's a tough call. I mean, I guess they all probably sound the same so no sense in getting a replacement if it will be just as loud...i'd say get your money back if it ultimately bothers you that much, especially if you don't have any grow plans going on right now, then maybe save up for something that works better for you or is newer tech out when the time comes? I wouldnt like a leaf blower making noise all day either haha

Still foliar feeding with the boost every other time I mix nutrients. So if I add the boost into the rest of the nutrients, I skip foliar until the next time I mix nutes, then I leave out the boost and dilute 3-4 ml of boost per gallon of water and spray. I've even mixed the boost and magic green and foliar fed. im pretty happy with doing the first few weeks of bloom like this so I think I will keep it as a permanent step in my grow cycles.

The hairs are really starting to come in now. I'll give them a couple more days before getting pictures up. I guess that's all for today. Things still going smooth. Will update next time on the Frisian Dew as well (looks great btw).

Here you have the first good shots of flowering. The 3 Kings has been under 12/12 for exactly two weeks now and 1 full week of signs of flower development. I figured today being a good day to update for that reason. Below are the Frisian Dew, which are a day or two ahead of the 3 Kings in terms of being on 12/12, but they look much further along in development. This could be due to a number of reasons and I haven't come to a conclusion yet which is the greatest factor in the equation but it could be due to: keeping the 180w much closer to the canopy of the FD, perhaps it's the different lights themselves, or is it the fact I've been bending and pestering the 3Ks for the last week or so, but then it could be the different nutrients, or maybe it's just simply genetics and a longer flowering time on the 3Ks. I'm thinking it's a combination of all the above and maybe more. Either way, both are looking good to me. I know I said I was going to get those exhale co2 bags but no one around here carries them and I just don't have enough desire to use them at this point to order them. Sorry to anyone who was looking forward to that. The FD has stretched like crazy. Had to adjust the lights every day pretty much, definitely going to have to bend the tops on those bitches too. Let me know what you think!

Haha yeah the stretch on the FD is pretty ridiculous. Thought keeping the light close to the canopy would minimize stretching but I was wrong...dont be surprised to see them with broken necks next time. Now that I think of it, the FD might actually be more like a week ahead in terms of how many days they've been on 12/12...shit my memory is going down the drain as I get older! Either way they are within a week of one another. And i'll be damned but im already yearning for a new light so a new light might magically enter the room soon too. Never satisfied if you haven't noticed that about me yet, haha

Went a little overboard on the pics. Got too exited, haha, they're starting to show their form, still nothing solid but coming in really nice. Crystal production has boosted and is starting to show a lot more. Speaking of boosts, I upped the ml/g on the boost today. I was doing between 6-8ml per gallon when I wasn't foliar feeding (which I've stopped at this point) and this time I went up to 10-12 ml to see how they respond. Think it should be all good. We'll see. Check out the new pics for now!

Start of week 4 out of I have no clue how many. They are starting pack on the crystals on the leaves...can't wait till the buds start forming up more. Should be getting there soon. I'm thinking the 3Ks might take somewhere in the 9-12 week range to finish though, whereas the Frisians are probably an 8-week strain because they look further developed than these. I'll try to get some pics of those up soon. Oh yeah, the second picture isn't sideways, that's one of the top branches I bent over. Pics with a red hue were taken with only the red lights switched on.

Thanks bro! Nice to hear I'm doing a consistent job here, knocking on wood at the moment too, haha. Think I'm going to start introducing the pk13/14 late this week so they can start swelling up more. Its about that time.

They look fantastic puff! nice pics =D As far as the new light... I suggest you get what makes you and your plants happy ;)
Glad you think they look good psy, means a lot considering how nice of plants I've seen of yours. About the new light, I know the plants are happy under the current light, I'm happy with it too, but I really would like to try out something new...just hesitant to take the plunge on something I or the plants might not like as much...found a killer deal on the kessil h350s
so I might grab those if all the discounts go through...that or maybe the solarflare since psua hooked it uo with a promo code
