I haven't decided yet. I do plan on getting another 200w diamond series from advanced. likely for my next round. So I'm really debating on what I want to do after that because I plan to use my 180 extreme flower for vegging and two 200w DS for flowering...and then either adding a couple kessil h350s to that or doing a separate grow dedicated to something different like the mag+ or blackdog, or even something unproven like the solarstorm or apachetech. Damn I still don't know haha but I do know I love my advanced leds and that will be my next purchase. Yeah I was interested in those evo leds too until they tried to scam me, maybe it was just a case of mistranslation, but no way I was going to give them my personal information. Good luck in your search for a led, I know you've been looking for quite a while now.
Yeah the ds200 are really nice panels.......if it worked for you(id say yes from what i've seen) keep running the same formula.........
As for me buying a an led....well its getting there, i've finally come to the realization that there is no perfect panel(for sale) but their are some pretty good ones.. To be honest i'm just bored and want to try some new lighting......so most likely i'm going to buy a progrow(180) just to try out(midgrade-panel/cheap)and go from there......

be safe and happy growing......u're girls almost ready for the flip..:leaf:

Haha I feel you about being bored and wanting to try something new, that's how I got started with leds, even went the same route and decided to pick up a small panel and go from there, best way to do i think is get your feet wet first if you already have some reservations to begin with. You're absolutely right, there is no perfect panel for sale but there are some really good ones. Although I haven't personally used one, I think the progrows would be a good choice. Hope to see you doing a journal if/when you finally get one.

Thanks for the kind words Dawg! I really don't think the prices of the progrows are that much cheaper than the price on advanced's. The progrow260, which says it puts out 180w full spectrum, which we can probably assume may actually draw slightly under that and they round up to a nice round number, is $420. I got my 200w diamond series which pulls on average 185w for $475 on a promo. Not a big price difference now is it? I liked the new features on the diamond panels like the secondary diamond lenses and bigger diodes. I think they are priced pretty equally if you consider $/watt and the other features and designs of the panels. Also, I think the progrows hadn't upgraded their panels yet when I was purchasing last year, plus I was happy with my older led that I got from advanced and the customer service was good. That's why I went with Advanced. That's not to say I don't like what I see with the progrows, they seem to be very well built and get great results, just wish they had more technical info on their leds on their website.

If I could have gotten a ds200 for that price I would have pounced on it (545.00 right now)...I thought about doing the ds100 but i feel the footprint is to small to really judge the tech......for 309.00(pro 180/shipped) they gave me last weeks pricing(i bitched/lol) and 160w output(doubt this too) is a better fit for me.....

About doing a journal...tough one..i live in a fascist state(PA) that loves to put growers away....growing more than 9 plants is a mandatory minimum of 1 year in prison(this includes seeds/clones/fucked up I know) I would gladly show people my grows/ fuck even my bedroom if i lived in a legal/or medical state...I also have a daughter living with me and any amount grown(even off property!!!) can result in severe penalties...

But right now i'm doing nothing....a friend of ours got popped and we foolishly(cardinal rule #1)sold to him....so were waiting if he's gonna roll on us(promises he wont/but you know how it goes...sigh)...so all our grow areas are broken down(and sanitized) and i'm just gonna grow something legal(ha) under the led's for now to test it......

Anyways/your uptodate(ha) in my growing life.......yours will have to do for me now..........be safe!!!!

Ok, I changed my mind. I no longer wish to see you do a journal, haha. Safety first brother. No growing for your daughter's sake, a smart father indeed. glad you can live vicariously through my grow for now, haha, and as always I appreciate all the love thrown my way. good luck out there!

Things are getting hairy. First ones just popped through overnight. Pinched the tops over last night, standing backup today but with a little bend, going to have to keep working them over time to get a nice bend.

So I foliar fed with the boost a couple times. Works great and saves on the amount used for the first couple weeks of bloom. Once the buds start to develop I'll go back to mixing the boost with the rest of the nutrients becauae I don't want to saturate the actual buds once they come in. I also added in some Great White mycos since a buddy hooked it up with some to try. I hear it works best if used from the start of veg but I dont think it can really do any harm using it now either so I added some into the mix. Anyone ever use this stuff?

I couldn't get good enough pics of the hairs coming out, but maybe in a few days when there's more and they're bigger. You can see where I've started to bend the top of each, but throughout the day they stand back up but with a little juke to one side real quick where they got pinched; so after these pics were taken, I took some ribbon and a paper clip to each one and wrapped it around the top of the plants, down to the rim of the smart pots, and clipped them. That should do the trick. They probably haven't finished stretching yet but it should be all good.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this strain is a straight up bitch to grow. Just when you think you have it nailed, it likes to throw another curveball. To be fair, I'm sure I have pestered them quite a bit as I continue to test their limits nutrients wise. Thanks to everyone who has stuck with it to this point, appreciate all the feedback and comments.

That's actually not a bad idea. Bonsai plants are cool, might have to get me one finally. I may end up trying to do some bonsai-esque manipulation next time. Think it would be cool to do a slant with all the bud sites twisted to the top side. Hard to explain what im envisioning but I think it could work.

Im almost positive i'm going to do some sort of bonzai experiment next time. congrats on your purchase. How loud is it? Can you compare the sound level to anything? I love how quiet the diamond series is, much more quiet than the 180 extreme flower (which wasnt that loud to begin with). I cant even hear it on if I close the door or if I'm a few feet away from the unit with the door open. Maybe you can grow some bonzais under it for now lol or some veggies?

These were actually taken yesterday. Forgot to upload them. So I got the tops bent pretty well but they grew back up so today I made another pinch about half way up, there's definitely a zig and a zag now in it haha. The tops are going to be freaks but hopefully in a good way. Only wanted one bend in each but oh well...I should have waited until buds actually started forming to be doing this but it's good experimenting nonetheless. Finally got a nice up-close shot. Probably going to hold off on the photo updates until some big changes start happening. Think you guys got the gist of it now: two ladies, one finicky strain, led, coco, canna, some major bending, just started flowering, and a whole lot of love(pain)!

Thanks again you guys for all the comments and feedback. Without the couple of you chiming in I probably wouldn't even be doing this, so I do appreciate it. That's all folks!....for now....

Funny....yeah bonsais are a bitch to grow/indoors anyway....but about my light well it sounds like a leaf blower on low....yeah that bad...i don't know what to do...does the Ds series always run(fans) also or is it thermostatically controlled?? My inlines never sounded like this...
Sorry to go off topic.....
