What if I told you that you could yield that with almost any strain?
3-4 lb plants are quite achievable with proper knowledge, a nice early start, and a good climate doesn't hurt. But u better know your shit if that's your bare minimum per plant. seems guys out west get larger yields than east coast, could be climate, could be there are more well established growers that way, with the medical market. I'd be stoked if I ended up with a 2 lb'er, but I start from seed, around mid - end of april. lots of west coast guys are starting clones, 8 weeks before bringing out, along with good soil prep, and great sun to boot, makes for large plants

I start in June and try to keep plants small. End up yielding 13oz to 16oz per plant. Could easily pull 1 1/2lb to 2lb if I made a few adjustments. I know several people routinely pulling 2+lbs per plant. But remember us outdoor growers only get 1 harvest a year whereas indoors are harvesting 4x a year.

What part of the country or the world are you ?

I am in north east us and was hoping starting indoor around june 1 for a few weeks before the transplant outdoors .....I was hoping this isn't too late of a start....I would be ecstatic with 13oz per plant.

I wish I had a chance to put one plant a year out doors. I would love to veg a plant for a few months inside with my other girls and then stick it outside by mid may prolly if the weather was agreeable. Hell I've got a few mother plants that would be perfect for that right now :). Sadly I don't have anywhere I can plant outside unless I did some gorilla shit.

I'm in CA. A lot of people start mid April beginning May. There are others that are able to veg indoors then put plants outdoors, and grow monsters.

Ya those are average outdoor plant yields, low compare to any good yielding strain.

yeah im also in ca and I put clones out in the beginning of may and yield 8-12 zips easy in pots/buckets that range from 5-10 gallons. not to mention those in the ground that can produce more if planted in lots of direct sun light

to hit that weight you have to tend your plants very regular,150+ gallons of well composted organic soil and 8+ hours a day of direct sunlight....as a newb you wont come close to that, especially geurilla style........

Getting those yields are possible with 10 hours+ direct sunlight hours. It also depends on climate and how the season finishes off too.

In my opinion vegging big plants and putting them outside doesn't do the plant any favours, It'l take longer to snap into flower too.

Because indoor light isn't sunlight and the plant will go into shock for a while if not introduced to sunlight gradually.

do they keep growing in veg outdoor getting taller bushier ?
i have grown some strains to say 6ft indoor when they flower they only get to 8ft
the same pheno flowered at 1ft would get to 5ft
the stretch seems to diminish if you veg them more there seems to be a point where indoor hybrids anyway
will not get any bigger or at least the time factor to make it bigger will just waste time

i can see the plants that naturally keep growing making this yield easy they end up like trees
20ft tall n shit lol

peace

dont know about everyone else but i think these are fabulous numbers and can not wait to see how close I can get at the end of this season. hoping for about 1.5-2lbs. per plant. that should get me through the winter and into spring without needing to buy any high priced over handled shit off the street.
Happy growing and keep smoking

Yeah I learnt my lesson this year to really harden your clones off gradually, even under a 600 hps for 10 days and they still flopped a little bit out in full sun. That's with 100% sativas anyway.

@ thundercat - because an older plant takes longer to switch the whole thing into flower. Sorry I don't have any scientific reasons for it but it just does, for anyone who puts clones out early have the cycle on 15/9 for higher latitudes or 16/9 slighly close to the equator(under 30 degrees). You may aswell throw the plant out if it flowers early and revegges and replace it with fresh clones.
