so started my second grow in a tv cab from good ol thrift store for cheap, stripped it and made 2 sections, veg and flowering. even has its own little "utility compartment". anyways started 5 seeds dec 1, germed in 24 hours, 3 made it completlty and the other 2 i kinda forgot about them on top of the fridge, just go too busy for a few days, kinda cool though the root grew a good couple inches and sewed itself in the paper towel, tryied throwing in dirt but didnt live oh well. anyways 3 up and living well so far.

right now for setup 17.5"x21.5"x27" for veg room, tight but i need a small grow.
running 3 42W cfl daylight ofcourse, 24 hrs on for the first few weeks then im switching 18/6 the remainder of veg period.
have one intake pc fan, dont know the cfms though. have 2 for exhaust but using them yet due to noise. so i removed the door on the cab and put up a black sheet with mylar on the inside.
temps around 82 farenhite (cant spell)
using mg organic (even though i read today from almost everyone that it sucks) but so far its doing me pretty good, if i see signs of stress from the thick soil ill tansplant into straight top soil.
anyways im putting up pics feel free to comment and suggest.
peace

Lookin' Good!

Your grow cab looks EXACTLY like mine! lol I used an old computer cabinet, the top for veg the bottom for flowering.

About the fans, check out some computer supply websites like newegg or something. I got 20, 30cfm PC fans for $0.50 each (including shipping) and their all whisper quiet. I use 3, 1-in & 2-out, and it cools my cab very nicely.

so i just added another few cfls to the equation 2-26w and another 42w cfl all three are 2300k i know, not the right color temp but i already have 3 other 42w cfl daylight rated for 5500k, just using these extra for side growth, but im looking into making a new fixture, im kinda tight for space and my lighting rig isnt the greatest. as you can kinda see from my first pics im using a 2x4 with 3 ceramic light holders on a set of chains. my second lighting rig i just threw in there is a homemade pvc 1.5"x10" long with three light sockets, giving me the option to add y-adapters to it as well, all hooked up to 120v. now if anyone has another suggestion for lighting rig that can hang over top completley im all ears, well i guess eyes since this is the internet and i cant hear you, but would be kinda cool to hear the messages haha anyways just stoned, thanks for the help all.

so me being a newb i went to transplant into soil instead of that organic stuff which tends to clump and didnt really allow great drainage. so as i was pulling the two plant, well not actually pulling but dump the excess soil into a bag catching the plant as it comes out, i though i had the whole root ball and turns out i didnt, the reets seem offly big and long considering the plant is only 2 inches, anyways do you think the plants will survive? i have 3 in totaly and only transplanted the two, after the whole root thing i said fuck it and left the other one in the organic crap. i really hope they survive.
also the leaves are starting to turn yellow but i think its because i was watering with a slight solution for seedlings and i know know i dont need to for the next few weeks.

iright now im pretty sure im experiencing slow growth from transplanting. the weird thing is though i made a transplant this stage before with my last grow and she flurished, but these three offly slow and its bummin me out, anything i can do to help it?
anyone?

by the way im using only distilled water and soaking the soil when it dries out, usually every 3-4 days.
