Hello!
This is my second grow ever and my first journal! My first harvest was a joke as we only had a T5 for our lighting...7 grams/plant...
I now have a 1000w HPS and have a few things going under it.
I got 4 clones from a friend and germinated 10 seeds. 4 Strawberry Lemonade (bagseed from a dispensary) and 6 Power Nap (Sin City Seeds).
What I'm Using for this grow:
1-1000w HPS (sunsystem reflector)
1000w ballast
air system-mushroom filter>fan>light>outside
.5 gal square pots
5 gallon smart pots (on top of gravel in a tray)
Fox Farm Grow Big
Fox Farm Tiger Bloom
PH Up and Down
Neutral soil
All plants were started under 4x4 T5
The four clones rooted after about 12 days (my first experience trying to root clones). I went ahead and put them into their smart pots because they were kinda wild and I wanted to start training them.
8 of the 10 seeds germinated and came through the dirt. 3 Strawberry Lemonade and 5 Power Nap.
Once through the dirt and healthy, we transplanted all 10 into .5 gal square pots. This was where I made my first big mistake. When we transplanted these, they went from neutral soil into fox farm ocean forrest...straight. A few days later I noticed them all freaking out and turning yellow and not growing.
By recommendation of someone who knows a lot more than me, I immediately performed surgery on the babies. I gently took these back out and knocked off as much of the FF as I was comfortable with then put them into plain soil.
All of them took to the surgery well. A few started greening back up wishing 1 day. As the rest started to get green as well, I removed a little bit of unhealthy leaves and nodes (only the first on each plant).
I'm happy to say that ALL 8 made it through this.
They were transplanted into 5 gallon smart pots and watered until runoff. Still just using plain soil.
I have been using LST on the clones to keep them spread out and have topped 2 of the seedlings to prep for mainlining.
Here are a few pics from early on. More to come!
