Ok folks its been awhile since i have posted on here or started any crops. it is finally legal to grow or smoke in my state for any adult over 18 so i figured i would give it a go.

The setup 2900w of light 1=1000w hid 1 400w hid 1120w of led from 8 total lights and 4 80w t-12 floros for side lighting in a 8x12 room the pot sizes mostly 10-18 gallon one five gallon. I have 2 smart pots the rest are plastic containers 8 total

The growing medium is 50/50 blend of black gold coco coir and fox farm ocean forest i have 8 pots total filled all started from seed.

The nute lineup currently is some leftover fox farm nutes from my last adventure i know they are not the greatest in the world or for this medium blend but my plan is to use the rest of the grow big and big bloom up before switching to heavy 16.

I have used the whole heavy 16 lineup before with a rdwc bucket aero drip system and the plants were massive going into flowering more growth then i have ever seen indoor in my life but that is a different story i also used what was left over from that grow for my last hydrosoil grow till i ran out and i believe that helped with yield in the end. I know heavy 16 seems pricey but it does work and works well from what i have seen.Besides what good nutrient isnt pricey. Infact most people have never even heard of heavy 16 or even tryed it. I plan on giving it a shot again with this hydrosoil medium right till the end. What originally sold me was the free samples a local shop was offering with the deal.

I also hope to add co2 by flowering time. Thanks for looking ill try to update here and there

just a update. still stretching getting going into the end of the first week 12/12 I see pistils still kinda in pre flower 2 of these are the first to go into flower they are of unknown genetics one is either ak47 or gdp the other maybe pineapple chunk. Both showing signs of female.

One of the stocks is superthick.

The bubble gun as the post describes are coming along I got several of those in really big pots really overkill so when you water each pot they remain soaked for several days which could cause root rot.

This week I noticed the pots are still fairly heavy after 5 days so they are prolly not transpiring all that well so I will back off water till the pots are just about feather weight then I will give them a drink of plain water incase there is any buildup.

Most of the bubble gun are in big 18 gallon plastic pots so I might cut the water amount down so the roots have time to reach out and catchup and start using the water.

That's one plus with hydro soil is that you have to water less but you don't need to dump more in then the plant will use either you don't want root problems plus you might have to empty trays 3 4 times a water each which is a pain

thanks man I have yet to get a knockout harvest of quality . Most of the time the end product is decent in taste but not overly frosty and not that knockout thc level that people claim I am still learning myself.

These 2 pictured here are around 3ft tall and 3ft wide I just hit em with the cyco grow bloom water yesterday just to test and the plants like it no burnt tips so far.

I also have a sample bottle of aurura soul bloom which I had planned to use up first I will hit them the next time with some of it.

Also I have hit them with nute water the last few times 8 ml per gallon and they are not complaining you can just about water with nutes every time with this medium. So far I have only flushed once.

Id imagine if I had c02 they would double in size. I currently water about every 3 or 4 days i always ph the water when its plain however with the nutes I use I don't bother to check it I just add the correct amount per gallon some people don't trust what the companys say and still double check it with a meter or chem test

Well just to update the girls in the flower room are starting to throw hairs it has been around 2 weeks took a few fan leaves off that might have been blocking bud sites did not go crazy and strip them hopefully they do not stretch a bunch more and they just start to fill up and pack on.

I have fed them pretty heavy with nutes in flowering some products mention 10ml per gallon with heavy flowering plants I have been just sticking to 8ml per gallon every watering I think this next time maybe ill just give them some plain water ph'd because I think I might have seen some slight leaf tip burn on the very top branches looked like maybe some yellow.

Idk maybe because I added some cal mag to my last nute batch it might have got them alil hot I will have to wait and see as they are starting to throw hairs so maybe they will start using more of the nutes up.

some quality nute lineups claim to have enough calmag already in the mix so who knows incase there is build up from putting it right to them ill hit em with atleast 5 fresh gallons of water and if I donot see run off ill just try around 8 or 10 gallon and ill watch the color of the water coming out usually if it looks too dark you can tell there might be some build up once the runoff water color starts to become clear you know your good I then would wait 3-4 days till the pots are dry enough again and hit em with the regular nutes schedule again.

One thing that I have found out is every strain is different just alil bit and when your in a bigger pot I notice it takes a longer time for bud sites to develop and they also eat and drink more so it is hard to overwater at this point.

One thing I will say about using big pots is that if you do use them and only transplant once right into them from whatever small cup or pot or cloner you started them in is that the mix will hold water more so if you water the pots too much and you are soaking say 20 gallons on a really young plant the plants will not use that water right if at all and you could end up with some root rot which makes for slower growth.

What I would do when watering a big pot is only soak it good for the transplant then let it dry back out and just start off giving them a gallon or less maybe each any more then that is a waste I don't care what anyone says you can over water well atleast with this blend 50/50 anyways I have found that you need to let roots develop once roots develop they could drink up to 5 gallons each that's when they really take off if u always soak the full say 20 gallons of a big pot till runoff with nutes you are wasting $$ and will get slower growth that's kinda the mistake I made this time. The biggest size pot I have dealt with was around 7 gallons so this is new to me but once you get it down and you water them the right way the results are amazing.

Also one other thing to point out if you try to use too big of a pot indoors you might not have the space you need to check how high your lights can be adjusted and try to keep them as close as possible with out burning them so they don't stretch too much extra also certain light colors and strains like sativa can affect height
Ill try to get up some pic's later today when the lights pop on thanks for looking whoever is checking this out

Subbed up. This is a great tasting strain. I liked Sweet Tooth better but this is the second sweetest strain I've ever smoked.

So these girls are nearing the end of the 4th week they have not really packed on weight yet. One is either gdp dice or ak47 the other smells kinda fruity i wanna say that's candy chem but I have no real clue hopefully they start getting bigger.

Here are some pics around 31 days in

Looking like right around 9 zip for gdp with everything I don't know why people say that she is a low yielder I bet with c02 it could have been a p . the other kind was closer to 5 zip

So to sum it up overall the bubblegun is great smoke no mold no mites no hermie even after slight stress maybe one or 2 seeds out of a zip .

The most I was able to pull was 134 g but I did not care for the gun aswell as I did the gdp and the candy chem . gdp was ok high yield musty like grape taste but the candy chem I did not like it smelled real decent and strong yielded ok but the high wasn't so good and seeded easy.

If I had put all of my effort into the bubblegun I could have yielded a lot out of her I believe but certainly no 500+ grams a m2 I believe the breeder mentions even higher.

Anyways great smoke nice tight buds nice skunk earth like smell strong high great taste throughout the joint or blunt whatever you like.

Some weed after smoking for years I have noticed it will look really pretty and smell really good but when u smoke it the first hit tastes great after that it tastes like junk harsh no flavor. I have found with the gdp and the bubblegun every hit tasted almost like the first great and smooth.

Almost no seeds with the gun one plant smelled more like bubblegum then the rest but all in all good smoke spliff seeds bubblegun will not disappoint if you use 7 gallon plus grow bags you can yield 4+ zips each plant all day I wouldent doubt if 8zips per is doable without c02.

You don't need c02 to grow good dope also a lot of people think that c02 adds a solvent like flavor to the buds.

But the claim is that the dope is stronger with c02 I ask someone to compare and prove it.

Also you are not gaurenteed to yield pounds of dope just because of a c02 tank many extra factors will it help maybe but if I was just starting out id try to work on getting a strain to its potential naturally first then add the c02 and see what it does.

I have seen crops from guys doing this for 30+ years and they burn the c02 same strain they like and sometimes the yield is a half pound between 2 plants under one 1000w all because something happened during the grow maybe the pots dried out too much maybe the guy missed some feeding maybe the ph was off maybe they got mold mites etc.

Other times the guy gets maybe a pound between 2 plants on a good try with a new bulb
