Happy Sunday everyone!

1st day of flowering under ~80 watt LEDs. Will move on to a 250 watt Philips metal halide bulb next week and then finish with a Sylvania Grolux HPS bulb the week after (never used one of these 'specifically designed for growing' bulbs... do they add more blue or just marketing hogwash?). LEDs are (2) Bridgelux Vero 18 @ 1400mA; 4000K @ 80 CRI. I WILL pair them up with the HPS in mid flower if necessary

Method is hempy buckets, medium is 100% perlite, 4.5 liter (1.18 gal) containers.

Strains are (1) fem Dinafem Blue Kush [on the right] and (1) fem White Label Purple Bud
. They're both supposedly hybridized genotypes but it's clear that one of them will throw some serious Afghanica traits -- I love variety!

Training: topped and training branches to have at least 4-8 tops each. The White Label strain resits training, it has some bicep-like nodes with thick branches.

Goal: I'm looking to get about 150 gram from both plants and hopefully capture the Belgian chocolate smell from the Blue Kush and the lemony fragrance of Afghanistan from the Purple Bud! *Rush is playing in my head right now*

Feel free to post and add in your suggestions, otherwise just hang back and let's see how this turns out

Awesome! Sweet journal I'll follow it and hopefully you'll get some great bud at the end.
Thank you for being here

Good stuff mate. I have moved down to a 250w light now due to cost of running a 600w. I will keep an eye on you grow mate. Good luck
If you're as passionate about growing as I am, and I'm sure you are, then you never really "move down" you just do better with less. Happy growing and point me to some pics of your grow :D

Also this is an unscheduled update. I fucked around with bending the top branches on the Purple Bud and snapped one of the tops. I decided not to try to repair it and just completely cut it off. I am very bummed out:

I love it man. I love Hempy style. I do Lucas Formula. I like having different types of lights. I feel it could add to the spectrums available to the plant. It just makes sense but I have no scientific evidence to support that claim. It just works.

Anyway, good job bro. They look healthy and satisfied. I think you're doing a good job! Awesomeness!

Peace and love.

I've been curious about the lucas formula. I think it's worth a try. I'm going to start a new grow some time towards the end of the month when I order some new seeds. I might even order a new batch of the Purple Bud cause I really need to redeem myself towards this beauty. She's a very heavy yielding plant and a new feeding regime might be the perfect thing to test on! Thanks for the kind words brah!!

This is what I do. Straight perlite. 3 gallon bucket and I even do 2 plants at a time. Not optimum but it works.

Per gallon. Maxibloom powder. One scoop from the small side. 1 mg CalMag. Tap usually runs 7.0, something drops PH in the 4s and 5s. I dunno. I add about 2mg PH up per gallon to get it to 5.8-6. I start about 1.5 then drops to get it in the range.

I also mostly do autos. They are just easy. I just want a good top shelf harvest as fast I can get it. Healthy plants and smoke. I grow them to small, but sometimes they get giant! lol. I've done photos too 12/12 at 2 weeks.

Everybody likes to grow their own way. And that's cool. But, the Hempy/Lucas/Auto style is just too easy man. I mean like paint by numbers. I learned about it from the link below. And followed a dude. ISK. His journals. That's really all you need to know. Easy peasy, simple and fast way to supply yourself. I think it would work with about any plant.

I have some autoflowering seeds of the Blue Kush and the the Purple Bud. They've been pollinated by local Ruderalis. If you're ok with it I'd be more than happy to send them over. Not feminized though

Thanks a mill bro. We are not allowed to do that here. Trust me, I'm good on seeds and know how to make my own. I'll never run out ..lol. Anyway, preciate the offer. I like your grow ideas mine are much simpler but they work very well. Don't worry. Be happy.

Peace and love out to all!

looking good grapes....I'll be following along to see how your 1 gallon buckets work out.

I was rather impressed with my 1 gallon hempy, such a shame it was a male, but I will try this size again

those OG-dominant Blue Kushes always run out of root space in 1 gallon containers as far as I know (outdoors)... but I am prepared to cap them
Man. I outgrow me space almost everytime. It's nuts. I got a 4 foot
Auto in another life. I went back in time to check on it today. I'm gonna have to take the shelves out of the closet! Ugh! It'll be ok :-). It will be handled. Enjoy your growing experience and sharing on the RIU. LOOKS GREAT!
