Do not go to the cup if you don't have you card, many people were very disappointed last year...
Well thats good to know. Might try to go the route stow mentioned of reciprocity. Wanted to go to cali anyways and I hear it is easier to get your card there. Will get a po box if I have to but I wanna make this happen.

Each booth in the medicating area get a certain number of tickets for the people they have working their booth. People with those entry tickets do not need to be michigan card holders.
Think HT would be salty if me and 3 of my boys bought a table and dont set it up? I mean I would feel like a dick having that open space to myself for nothing but I am sure there are some no shows every year. Could always just let the people next to me have the extra area, I just wanna be able to roam the smoking area and 500 bucks is worth it imo to not have to get a doc rec. idk maybe I am just an asshole for wanting to do this but I am all but certain I could get my friends to kick that down to go to a cup and smoke.

Haha! You might even be able to come up with something clever to sell and recoup all/most of your $$$. Shit, I could whip up a few big batches of edibles for you if it came to it. :-)

there was a group of 7 that got turned away for not having their med cards. they had out of state cards, but MI does NOT consider out of state medical cards as being valid. I thought they were gonna start a fight with the door guy. it was about to get ugly.

and if you don't have a med card, I wouldn't waste my time with going. the non-medicated area is a joke and waste of time. I spent about 1 min outside the gates, then made a B-line back to the fun and festivities.

I thought about asking a local glass shop if they would wanna kick down on it but not sure how much interesr they would have since I am really nothing more than a customer to those guys. I do like your idea though stow, not sure if I would need something else to sell stuff (they love getting money out of yiu so wouldnt surprise me extra hidden fees). Will keep thinking but buying a table seems like the easiest route.

Why not go to a state that has much better cup that is 10x bigger and you don't need a med card to enter???

You sure about that? I'm pretty positive that the STATE allows medical cards from out of state and considers those valid. Maybe it was the High Times group or possibly the city that disallowed it

Michigan DOES accept out of state med cards, it's written into the law. I had an out of state friend attend the cup last summer with no problem getting access to the med area.

I'd go to Denver for sure
Eh I have heard the cups that are in legal states are clusterfucks now. Would rather go to a small one first to get a taste, plus I hate big BIG crowds lol. Its also more risky of a drive from where I am at to CO because of the drug interdiction teams they have setup on major highways now. Im right in WI, so take the ferry across lake mi and I could almost make a day trip out of it.
Plus I know more people in mi than other legal states and they all seem like cool people I wanna burn 1 with if given the chance, so given that it is right next to me might as well check that one first.
Edit: oh and probably my least favorite aspect of the denver cup is that it is dated around 4/20 and I can not ask for time off around then without having a little worry my hr lady looks at me funny. I mean everyone knows about 4/20 smoker or not and I just dont need that kind of attention. Nothing suspicious about 8/22

I just hung out at a friend's house last year who lived near the cup and people came over afterwards. Win/win. I could chill and and smoke and eat, and my dog is allowed. Except I don't think I had my dog??? I don't remember I was high lol

Well shit. You've definitely thought this through. All very good reasons. Just know that the city/area that hosts the cup is not exactly a vacation destination. Kinda rough.
