Even a great (expensive) lawyer couldn't beat that wrap given the video, but a healthy civil agreement could get the victim to drop the charges. Actually that is quite common, entertainment lawyers are whole different breed.

"... pay the law suit and laugh. It's not a big deal, it's nothing but some cash."

Then again, Universal Records dropped him long ago and he may be worth only a hundred grand.

High Times does a great job at their cup. It's not so much of a money grab. And you don't have to get shipped off in order to medicate.
The Hash Bash in Ann Arbor has always been fantastic also.

All the complaints we've heard about this venue at the roostertail, I'd be surprised if we participate next year either.
And that's if they don't pick a woman beating piece of shit to headline it.
Meh if you like it go, it seems that many on here don't mind (captainmorgan).

I hold true to the philosophy of "Good Business".

Might check out those places thanks for the heads up.

The guy was blindly raking in so much cash at the door (scam) that my jaw dropped. It's people like this in the industry I refuse to support, all they are about is a quick cash grab and they DO NOT CARE who they F over to get it and then leave everyone else with a bad name. F that whole set up and the money grab they are about very rarely do I use the word hate.

The whole scene was about $ FROM YOU and nothing else. It was shady to boot.

I'm about meeting up with good folks to chill and don't mind spending C's for a good time, but this was the opposite.

Talked to to the Great Lakes Genetics dude $90 for 11 beans.

This industry is going to get taken over by professionals when it's legalized and a bunch of people are going to get pushed out of the market and are going to wonder why. Once professional minded people start getting the industry it's game over for scams like the THC whatever.

I watched person after person go in and come out with a not so fun look on their face, as I sat in my car stunned at the people STILL IN LINE to get into the parking area.

The only good thing I learned is to throw Expo's and rake in 100k in one weekend and completely screw people who medicate over with a 360 money grab and then take off the rest of the year.

No wait ... that would be sketch disappoint a lot of folks, better not.

Do you think if business majors and lawyers are running things you'll get a better deal, think again. You seem to have some built up anger, try smoking a bowl and not take things so personal.

No I don't like scams bro. I'm about the consumer as they are the reason there is even a expo.

I assume renting the entire Roostertail for a weekend and insuring/bonding an MMJ event would require astronomical stacks of cash. Risk vs reward must meet somewhere and this is the 5th annual of this event. High Times struck out on their first and only Detroit event and that says something ...

If one is raking in stacks of cash one must deliver to their clients. The clients come 1st always.

I for one fear the day the Professionals take over and hope that it never happens. Corporations pray to only one god, money, and they care for nothing else, including making their customers happy. It's a damn plant that has medical and recreational qualities depending on how you use it and the Professionals want to control it for their own gain. Anyone should be able to grow it in their garden just like a tomato.

Someone will have to hire the tens of thousands of lawyers, cops, prison guards and their unions following the actual freeing of the plant. I've always assumed these past couple of decades that we've been waiting for such a reality to occur, we've actually just been waiting on big business and big government to come to some sort of agreement. We can be guaranteed that will not be in the best interest of the People one way or the other ...

Damn that was fun!!! Cops n fire Marshall on Sunday ran off most of the vendors... Made bank after.
Pussies ;)

For the detractors.
Yes afroman, French and the show all have issues...
Half a dozen patients(some major players) now have the Perkins cut for free that they never would have had if Ninefold had stayed home..
20 plus veterans n seriously fubared patients would not have gotten free glue from Theman13...
Seedpac would not hav been approached to supply strains for a PTSD study...

I can go on...

And for that couple who thinks plant size is all that matters????
Yeah got my price. Genetics matter.

I'm disappointed to have to say this but, this event was a complete waste of time and money.
Whoever organized this event was disorganized. The line of people to get on the "medicating / vape bus" (an old school bus, which seated about 20 ppl) was 75+ people deep. On top of the fee to get into the expo ($15 pp), there was an additional fee for parking, and another fee to get on the bus. Once inside the expo, somebody told us to "just drive over to the medicating location where the bus goes" So we did. The location was on Connor and Chalmers (the shit), at an old used car lot building. We offered to pay the $20 to get in, at the door. They would not let us in because we did not have an additional hand stamp, which proved that we paid to ride the bus. We were told, to go back (about 6 miles) to the expo, pay the $10, get a stamp, and then we could come back and pay again, to get in. WTF ? This used car lot building was where they had samples of edibles, different strains, and everything else that we had come to the expo for. We didn't come, wait in line, and pay, to get a ton of advertisements and nothing else. It sucked and I'll never go to another one of these events atleast not one sponsored by this same group of idiots.

Oh, by the way, every single person that I talked to at the expo, that sold seeds, sold them for the exact same price, which was 6 seeds for $50 - all strains.

Venues like this are for profit and I imagine costly and time consuming to set up and run. Seems like a lot of whining going on,remember not long ago these were not possible, relax and smoke a bowl.
