You gonna need to add some dirt to that pile; it helps catalyze the decomposition of the organic material. After you balance the dirt to organic material ratio, water the pile. The water seeps into the soil underneath the pile, attracting worms and other beneficial bugs.

Looks like you got it going right. layering your browns and greens. Alfalfa pellets helps heat up a pile because it contains both carbon and nitrogen.

Next year I am ordering a grip of praying mantis eggs in the spring. I want to be infested with praying mantis' come summer lol. might grow roses out front again and load them up wth ladybugs.

You need to get a couple chickens Woot, their droppings are great for the compost pile....
Man... you too? Everybody is always pressuring me into getting chickens. My girlfriend wants to get some cochins. I used to keep Rhode island reds lol. The north wall on my garden is the dog kennel gone chicken coop gone garden wall :p

This'll most likely be the last update on the garden this year.
The herb garden is now the vegetable garden.

The compost like is looking like it's gonna work out.

I'll be adding more as I collect more Brown compost.

Boxes repurposed.

There a row of each of these.

It's got a snowpea in the middle of four cabbages with a border of yellow onion.

A half dozen broccoli with 2 Swiss chard in the middle.

This is the same as the other boxes with cabbage except instead of onion it's got garlic.

These now sport kale, cauliflower and onions.

So empty, yet so full. Next years going to be a good year.

Excellent thread @mwooten102 One of my favorites this year for sure.
Do you have a favorite smoke or grower out of the garden this year?
Funny thing is... The Casey Jones was my least favorite when it was in flower but is my favorite of the smoke. It's smooth and has a relaxing high.

I only just last night burned the first agent Orange bone and it was quite nice.
I've only tried the Romulan once so far and it's dang stoney.
The BlackBerry x og is delicious.

Despite the setbacks I had this year I feel everything turned out okay and I learned a lot about both the herb and the veggies. I feel like anybody can grow good herb if they never encounter a problem but having issues and overcoming them is where you really learn. It's the difference between being able to turn a wrench and being able to diagnose the problem.

Figure I may as well show the tubs waiting for final trim. I cleaned up the garage yesterday though it needs to be gone over thoroughly after the cluster Fuck of harvest lol.

Og blackberry

All of this is the big Romulan and one is that agent Orange.

I'm always happy when everything is put away.

Here's my aria on Halloween.
