One of my seed plants dropped a seed in the pot and now there are two babies growing!

I'm sorry if I hadn't followed your kessil grows but I wanted to ask,do you think they are worth the expense for main or supplemental lighting compared to other options out there now. Not trying to put you on the hot seat.

I'm curious as well as to how the magenta or red would perform for side lighting during flower oppose to other options available.

They are on the high end but are well made. I like my three alot, but will build the next leds.

I watch for deals on ebay and get them cheaper. My H350 Magenta worked OK but when I added the Deep Purple, things went crazy! The spinner added a dimension of light coverage that also increased growth speeds.

I guess to answer the question 'are they worth the expense compared to other options' it just depends on what your options are. If you are a diy kinda of guy...your best bet expense wise is build your own unit or units. There are all kinds of choices out there now for led's and only more to come as they refine the technology. The kessil works well for me in my situation although I have recently been looking at www.buildmyled.com. They offer some great units and spectrums that would work especially well for small and micro grows, but they are kinda expensive.

Sorry one big one if its a 30 inch round bush or 2 3gals. With LST. The light is very strong and the UV does make a trichrome increase.

All good things must be copied. I found this listed on my local craigslist under LED grow lights. The ad calls it a cannister grow light 45w similar to Kessil. But for $100 I'd rather buy the real thing

I've just been reading the info on their new light, the H380 (Spectral Halo II) and apparently it will feature some UV chips, as well as a "bloom" spectrum switch. I saw this on the Growers House site, where the light is marked at $299.99 for pre-order.

They can have the H380, I can pick up another H350 for $50 less new. Or much less used on Ebay. A Switch to change colors is hardly an innovation. 20 percent increase in power? Are you kidding me? A UV chip or two isnt gonna do much either.

Colour spectrum switches seem to be making their way into several of the new full spectrum LED panels. I had imagined they might be an effective method of increasing efficiency as the plants go through their life cycles. Do you not see them as a worthwhile feature?

The new Cree COBs are white and there are some amazing grows coming out of those gardens! This (using LEDs) is still a wide open frontier!

The switchable H380 is a good option for those just now buying thier first Kessil. But for those that already have H350's its more economical to just add more in the desired spectrum. I was really looking for the new Kessil to offer some mean wattage. A light that put out 2.5 times the output pf a H350 would be totally worth it. The H380 is just sort of a let down.
