This will be my third indoor/sunshine grow from my living room bay windows half way up a high-rise

I have a nice cool ocean breeze but only about 6 hours of direct sunlight in the peak of summer. By October I'm down to only 2 hours, so this year I'm going with auto-fem's so I can finish by September.

The seeds are from a local breeder (Crop King Seeds), but I have not heard/seen any reviews on them. I have staggered the start dates just to see the difference..the first is in soil, the next two are in 3 gallon hempy buckets (3:1 perlite/vermiculite with a soil core & cap). I'll be using the GH Maxi-grow then Maxi-Bloom

They are behind schedule already....as the sun gods have not been kind to me.

Plant 1) - Early Miss (70% Indica - 30% Sativa) sprouted May 4th - in soil
Plant 2) - Dwarf Low Flyer (80% Indica - 10% Sativa) sprouted May 19th - hempy
Plant 3) - Revolver (80% Indica -10% Sativa) sprouted May 27th - hempy

Good luck with your grow! I'll be watching this as I was interested in the dwarf low flyer.
cool....as luck would have it, I have 2 dwarf low flyers...the one in the 3 gallon hempy bucket is starting to come on strong, as it's near as big as her elder sister which is 2 weeks older

The youngest which is 7 days old is doing okay, it had an issue with shedding its seed-pod but she's doing good now...it's in a 2 litre hempy pop bottle

June 12th update

Some pics of my gals....always slow going at first but they are starting to look good

Also the last two pic's are of my friends gals...same plants as mine (Early Miss and Revolver auto-fem's) but he doesn't know which is which

BTW: I have compressed the pic's as they were so large it was taking to long to upload and view...hope they are ok

June 21 update

Plants are going well, been having sunny days but a bit on the cool side, (mid 70's)

The hempy buckets have grown as big or bigger than the one in soil, which is the eldest...no wonder I love hempy so much, but the soil is less work

Pic 3 ... that hempy is showing pre-flowers already but you can't see in the pic's

Hey ISK, happy to see you journaling another indoor sun grow. As always best of luck in your grow. My autos (?? not totally sure but they seem to be auto) were started between your 1st & 2nd.

How much are you feeding the hempy's? Me I'm at about 250ppm (1/4tsp/gal) I want to push em more but after last summer I'm a little gun shy.

thanks for dropping by Watts...yeah this year I have 4 on the go, 3 different types of auto-fems from the same breeder.

Also gave my buddy a couple of the same seeds and his are doing very well. (see attached pic's.... one's an Early Miss and the other is Revolver but he doesn't know is which)

I'm still using the same GH MaxiGrow and MaxiBloom, 7 grams/4 litres with 4ml of Cal-Mag and some pH+ (easy and simple).

I staggered my start dates, which I'm not sure if that was a good idea or not, but time will tell

I was watering my plants this morning, and was draining any stale water still in the reservoir...then the plant broke off at the base, clean break.

I had noticed that the stocks are thinner at the bottom and get thicker as they go up. (they all do this) so I figure it may be from a lack of wind, as it has been so calm here and I don't use a fan

May need to add supports for the others.....damn I'm choked as this was the plant with pre-flowers (Dwarf Low Flyer started on May 19th)

Ohh that's too bad, I was really looking forward to see how the lowflyer would come along... I also had a badluck recently with one plant. I've spent like 2 months mainlining her like crazy (also grown on a windowsill), it was getting really nice, then my kiddo made it fall on the ground.... And just like that, half of my plant got ripped appart, with only a tiny piece still attached. Tried to tape it back in place, it worked to keep it alive but no way that it would support the weight of budding branches. So I cut it off completely and I'm left with a sad looking half-mainlined plant... So yeah, sorry for your loss!

thanks Missy....I'm not overly upset as I still have one Low-Flyer left, it's the youngest, which is in a 2L hempy pop bottle, so please do stop by to see how that one does

cheers

July 5th updates

I have been putting the youngest (2L pop bottle) under CFL's after sunset until sunrise, which I believe is helping her progress faster (BTW: she has pre-flowers now)

Twice now I have burnt leaf tips as they will grow 2 inches over night..... by morning the leaf had grown inside the CFL ......I do allow 4 hours of darkness, just don't like going 24/0 even with auto's

Not sure how long I'll continue with the additional CFL lighting, but I most certainly won't use the HPS, as done last year with disastrous results.

The plant in soil (Early Miss) is anything but early, over 60 days old and no pre-flowers, so I'm moving it into a dark room at night to help induce flowering.

The blue bucket hempy is doing great.....now I know why I avoid growing in soil..... hempy is just so much faster

Everything looks good ISK, and you still have one of each strain. My auto crosses are not auto in nature. They both are showing signs of hard core sativa's, they look like the different types of mist/haze I've grown.
So have you found it easier to grow in the 2gal compared to the 2L? I'm betting by the end of this grow, you'll be purchasing more 2gal pots.
