2014 Backyard Grow

I heard ukalyptus (no I dea how to spell it but something like that) is good for pest control, if you bubble up a load of fresh leaves and let it evaporate down it works really well when sprayed on

Thanks guys. The buds are smaller than I had hoped for.the sun dropped a little lower/faster than I had predicted. So these plants are only getting like 4 hrs direct sunlight. Buds are super frosty though. On one pheno the trichs are big/long. Pretty cool.

Wow.. looking pretty great. My HSH didn't make it unfortunatly. We haven't had a frost yet but they didn't like the high 30s cold snaps that we got. Keep up the good work though... your plants look beautiful man.

Yeah. I even spray the flowering shrub right next to the flower bed with neem and spinosad now. I noticed moths and grasshoppers lingering in there. I am now misting everything in the area (even my greenhouse walls) 3-4 times a day to keep the humidity up and knock off any bugs/eggs. Tryna slow the spidermites down. I have been getting crazy bugs this year. I didnt even know wtf a leafminer was until now lol. Its the drought I think. I also think it is because I havent been doing my regular routine. I had stopped foliar feeding for a bit, but im back on it now again with fish emulsion and protekt everyday and seaweed extract once a week. I have learned my lesson about slacking off haha.

Recently David Wetzel, a Nebraska farmer completed a 10 year study on applying milk at different rates to his pastures, and recorded the results with the help of the local Agricultural Extension agent Terry Gompert , a university soil specialist, a weed specialist and an insect researcher.
What they found was amazing- the grass production was drastically increased; the soil porosity or ability to absorb air and water doubled; microbe activity and populations increased; cows were healthier and produced more milk on treated pastures; the brix or sugar level in the pasture tripled, indicating more nutrients were stored in the grass than before. Grasshoppers abandoned the treated pastures- the sugars are a poison to soft bodied insects as they do not have a pancreas to process the sugars. This also explains why insects will leave healthy, high brix level plants alone, as they contain more sugars than the stressed and sickly ones.

Thanks. Yeah I believe this strain is predominately stative. I did get one more indica Dom pheno. But the bud structure was still sativaish. I can't wait to smoke this strain. Never tried it before and it smells real good.

I like the wire racks you have them sitting on.. For drainage I assume? Where did you pick these up at?

@Extacie those are just parts I had layin around. A futon frame, a old headboard+hog wire, and some pieces from another old futon lol. I did it so the plants dont have to sit in water when it rains, plus it keeps space between the cold/hot cement and the roots, and it helps so bugs can't just crawl right into the soil lol. It works great.
