no medical cannabis will be dead in Az once the 25 mile rule goes into affect. The program will be DRASTICALLY reduced(how will pay all that money for a card when you cant grow ur own) Sure some will still grow illegally, but the cops will be out trying to trak ur rule breakin ass down and lock you up into a program the state DOES approve of......Prison for Profit:)

This is a great idea, but it should of happened two years ago when AZCS was still a huge site, and we all were faced with the MMJ Apocalypse.

Ill still be there bill !

i think i'm in.

i want to know what the atty general thinks before i go though. not that i think the locals would raid the place to please all the assholes. :)

i'd really like to try some of the things i haven't before like wax and full melt and to see what other growers are up to. i was under the impression our beloved state had a problem with hash/oils etc. i'll have to do some reading on the subject.

i bake "firecrackers" but want to try an edible done by someone who is good at it.

I don't think the risk of putting your name out there as growing some of the best is worth the ego boost.

Stay low key and treat it like it's still illegal is the safest bet still.

Correct.

I assure you the "BEST" growers in the Valley will not be participating in this.

two years ago no one had a grow worthy as that was the start of the program.

this event, nor I, have anything to do with AZCS.

The police have no resources to "track down" card holders nor do they have a list of cardholders. they cannot access personal information, rather only if a card is valid.

why would the attorney general care?

there can be no raid folks, this is a private event, read the laws pertaining to the definition of public place.

lol, what about a six figure salary as a dispensary grower?
there is a job fair happening, sponsored by dispensaries,.... I'm just saying.

and FYI... it's NOT still illegal... treating it like it is seems to be part of the problem, not post of the solution. just my .02 as the guy fighting in Federal Court for ALL of you to be able to grow.

You sound pretty confident that you know ALL the best growers in AZ, but then again..doesn't everyone say that??

The test results on the samples submitted so far are out there for everyone to see, there is no rumor or conjecture as to whom is better than whom, there is however raw data from azmed testing, plenty of ammo for "put up or shut up" comments I would think. Take for example the Maui Wowi wax that tested at 76.7% thc content while the others tested in the 50-60's. I would say that person (all samples are submitted anonymously for testing purposes) can easily say "so far, I've got the best wax" because quite frankly, they do ;)

I hear a lot about these so called "underground growers" with awesome grows set up, yet they don't have anything on the market is what you would expect me to believe? I know almost EVERY compassion club owner, collective operator, vapor lounge franchisee and dispensary owner in the state, all of which have been known to receive medication from patients/caregivers that had "excess". Am I to believe that NONE of these cultivation gurus have ever "let some go" on the open AZ market? That I have never met, heard of or better yet seen the product from these growers?

Well...if that's the case, I guess it will be really easy for everyone else to do well in the competition for the $1000 cash prize and potential $100,000/year job at a dispensary.

good luck folks ;)

Let me just say this, having had the pleasure of competing in competitions before, on ANY level. There are always those that say they could win, those that say they don't need to prove it and to them we say, "good for you buddy" !!

All those people are doing is talking, and mostly on the internet. You don't hear that kind of talk at NORML meetings, or CAMP420 meetings or any of the countless and ever growing Farmer's Markets. What you do hear patients talking about is how good this was, or that this was better than that. If you think your bud is the best shit in AZ and have $100 of disposable income, you can prove it. Not to mention you get tickets to the 3-day event as well.

If you think your products have a chance at being the "Best of" in one of the categories, give it a shot, If you don't then don't. Worst case scenario is you get med testing and a bad ass 3-day party ticket to the biggest pro mmj use event in Arizona.

I honestly think many underground growers have been doing this longer then most. If it isn't broken why fix it? Lol

I will be attending this event more then likely. What are the stipulations for entry? Amount of samples, cost of table, etc? Will there also be different categories like Hybrid, Indica, Sativa? I am curious to see what others have out there. it might just be worth it ;) but you know me, haha I like to stay low key
