BECAUSE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>(drum roll please)......

Even though national opinion polling shows that more than 80 million American adults believe that marijuana should be made "legal" for adult use, only
30,000
people have ever donated to MPP. Thank you so much for being one of the few with the initiative, foresight, and personal commitment to actually do something about our country's failed marijuana policies. Your donation will help fund our efforts to end marijuana prohibition. When — not if — the battle is won, it will be because of the financial support from members like you.
Once again, thank you for your gift.
Sincerely,
<img alt="">
Rob Kampia
Executive Director
Marijuana Policy Project

For the cost of a bag or two by each one of us it could make a difference. Instead of starting up from scratch these guys are up and running, Now put your money where you mouth is please!
What? 30,000? That's it? They are the lobbyist. So are we all on the same page?

It would be interesting to see if we coordinated at visit your state senator and rep day in lansing. If there was a way to get 15+ people to actually go and walk the halls and tell everyone that they support MMJ.

Remember a long journey begins with the first footstep.
I don't think rubber bullets would feel good. Well you know what I'll do it. I petitioned for pra2000 didn't have too many takers though. If you really want to do this, we can meet up at log lake disc golf coarse. Lets get a group and catch people passing through. pass out flyers

Sign people up!
There are no rubber bullets. Read the post. It is about actually meeting these people face to face because were allowed to do that. Passing out Ron Paul literature won't help us at all considering we are trying to prevent a state issue from turning sour. Besides that might alienate some people, we want everyone that believes in mmj not just people who support Ron Paul. Cause to be honest I think he's batshit crazy and I know I'm not the only one in the med community. ( but that's for another convo). I think we need to keep future political decisions out of this and focus on the people our districts have elected. Meeting them is the only way to make a big impression....:leaf:

Meeting up in general might be a good idea though so we can gather the troops.

We are allowed to walk the halls of the senate and the congress. We just have to let all the major and local news stations know about it and then hope it is a slow news day.

We need a good number of people to show up so we can be taken seriously.

Don't need to go to DC, just to Lansing.

It's is to meet with our Michigan State Representatives and Michigan State Senators about our Michigan State MMJ laws and changes. Just to show that we support MMJ and we vote!

Nope, have never played disc golf, though I've heard it's fun. We just need to get the word out, this is a groundup kinda thing.

I THINK all they are going to tell you is they plan on addressing this issue in the fall. The only damage we can do is at that the poles. Vote out the bad ones and vote in the pro mj people even if they have a couple ideas that rub you the wrong way. We need to get voter registration cards sign people up.

Stop being such a pessimist. The idea is to show that there is going to be a voice on the other side of this law. The sooner we can draw attention to it the more people that we can get on board with our side of the debate. The more people who know the more attention it gets. The more attention it gets the hotter the flame under the asses of our representatives to vote the correct way that represents the will of the people that put them there in the first place.

I'll donate to the mpp instead. I dont really like people telling me what to do. I am my own boss and my own man. I went to school I know how this shit works. I petitioned for pra2000 Signed up voters, went on marihuana marches, worked my butt off for nothing. Hopefully all the punks will stay away from you guys. It only takes a few stoned dumb asses to spoil it for everyone. See you on the news!

Look you've been replying to the posts in here without having any idea what was being talked about. For a couple posts there you were convinced that we were going to Washington dc when nothing about that was said. Then you tell us essentially its not going to work when we just need to weed the politicians out. Well what do u think this whole thing is about. The more time we have before the fall the better. No one told you what to do it was merely a suggestion based on the general lack of info that made it in to your posts about what we were talking about. So go donate till your hearts content cause its all for the same goal.

Housemember Mark Pafford, Lake Worth Fl. has introduced a bill to legalize medical marijuana in Florida. It has NOT gained momentum, but NORML and PUFF have gathered petitions to support the bill. Kudos to Pafford

and of course the GREEN PARTY OF PALM BEACH COUNTY and the Green parties around the country are the first to step out front of the pack and endorse the use of medical marijuana. Support your Greens.. if you're not registered Green, please do so... google the Green party and learn about our values,,, we state them right up front... no sleezy backroom deals,, no corporate donations and the influence they try to buy...Register Green and vote Green when given the opportunity. Green is good.

To clear things up, this is an ani mmj political list to put a face on the people in MICHIGAN that don't support mmj. It's not a staging ground for storming the capital with media.

well its been part of the thread for multiple pages and i see it as very topical considering its about meeting those people on the anti mmj list anyways. The idea has been bouncing back and forth between two threads. No one is storming the capitol, the idea is the more time for exposure the more people will be exposed to the pro mmj side of the debate. This list can be used proactively to try to pin point which government officials need the most attention.

I'm back. There was a death of close family member and I stayed on to help out.

I heard about the USA AG make his statement about MMJ. Well, that just can't go without a fight. Monday is my day to start making contact with a few groups and see what we can do. Also, there was a meeting of compassion club owners to discuss the ruling (so much happened while I was gone) last week.
So we might be on the right path.

Let you know tomorrow what everyone says.

I haven't read through this thread, but can we put Obama as anti-MJ? I mean this ass clown does a 180 every other day. Now 2 of his departments have both come out against medical marijauna, even though hes said he wouldn't go after legal states. All together no, "Un-fucking-believeable!"
