I have thought of this before but didnt try it but i might soon. start growing a stative dominate strain and keep the lights close for the fist couple of week then move them far away to induce streching. after the plant has 5-7 nodes i will top the plant as close to the highest node as possable dip it in rooting gel and put it in rockwool and see if roots take hold. if they do i will plant it in a pot next to the original one.

have you seen this done? do you think this will have any benifical effects?

I'm all up for experimentation, but what exactly do you think you will achieve by having 2 sets of roots?

its the same cause you are bending the plant and growing from the nodes if it works you will get a simmilar effect just more work to get there

try it if you want.... keep a journal ........... good luck

rootmass is directly related to plant size... the bigger the roots the bigger and healthier the plant. as you know a plant can only use a certain amouunt of nutes b4 you bern it more roots to take up nutes is not the answer, bigger plants to take up the nutes is. for the plant to benafit from it, it would have to be a large plant and even than you could have just transplanted into a bigger pot. if it does work it will not be able to handle more nutes. it will probably need less. if you tried to give it more it would die just like a normal plant that was over fed.its bigger plants in a bigger pot you need not a second rootball, more benefite from transplanting up than this but if you wanna try it have fun, enjoy

r u sure 2 sets of roots are not better than 1? i find it hard to believe... and sprouts stretch damn fast when the lights are set up accordingly...

lol this is kind of funny. try it out, but remember to grow it big enough for two five gallon or bigger pots. if the plants roots will fill up both of the biggest sized pots u can find, i would think the plant would be double in size. but i think you would yield more if u just lst'd two plants in two huge pots
