I saw a video on line the other day. It was on growing strain hunters White Lemon. The guy had two plants in one 5gal. bucket. The plants looked happy. Is this alright or is this bad to do.

Thks in advance Richard

It's a bad idea, the strongest plant usually takes up most of the root space.

Any info I give is based on what I would be comfortable doing.
Please get other opinions.

In nature plants don't live in plastic buckets but at my house they do or they get the f**k out.

just spend the extra 5 bucks to buy a extra pot. It will be worth it, in the end.
bingo, its not too much to get another 5 gal bucket, and 5 gallons of soil. 10-15 bucks maybe, not only will the plants compete for root space, but they will compete for light as well, and basically whichever get the better foot hold first, will do better, but not as well as it could've alone. Ultimately both plants will do considerably better if in separate containers

Well damn I was planning on useing a plastic tote and do like 4 plants per..now I'm not sure I wanna do that..was thinking it would be easier to take care of 2 totes rather than 8 or so pots..

I have grown in a earthbox before and it is basically like having multiple plants in one container and the plants came out ok but I have had much better results with one plant per container. I find that with multiple plants in one container certain parts of the plant will not grow to full potential because of light loss (cant turn the plants like you can with single plant containers) and if you have a problem with one plant you have to treat them all. It makes for a much easier grow with single plants per container. Just my 2 cents. Good Luck Dude

8 pots way easier.... are you using fem seed, reg seed or clone? if clone of fem ehhhhhhh. if reg seed waaaaahhhh.what o do if one is male you can't separate them out easily. pots r easier to move than totes full of wet soil. I knew guy that grew in totes but it was outdoor 1 huge plant per tote. tote my nuts plant in seperate pots it is just easier

Ok thanks guys..I thought getting the males out as soon as they showed sex wouldn't be that bad..first grow so I really don't no..lol..well I guess I'm back to 5 gal buckets..

what do you think will be easier about totes vs pots ???

the roots will be all tangled together you may hurt the others by removing 1 then you have an empty space and if you left behind any roots they will rot in the soil with your good plants= no no.
