Preciate ya Throwed! Now that the few have barley sprouted.. I am wondering which lighting is best 18/6 or 16/8 ???
They are only an inch at best and want to get them big quickly for transplant to the outdoors !!!

Also I think I put some "upside down" in the soil what can I do next time to prevent this mishap!

Your right I'm glad these were'nt the expensive ones!!!
No prob. I am no expert, but I use 24/7 lighting until I put mine outdoor. Mine have fan leaves and pretty sturdy stems when I plant them outside. If your plants are only 1 inch then I suggest you wait atleast 2-3 weeks before attempting to put them out side. This will give them time to get some girth before putting them outside. Placing them outside at a young age is taking a gamble. Throw on of your Reggies out there and you will see what I mean. It's rough on seedlings that are young and still have to deal with winds, bugs, and etc. Not to mention seedlings are difficult to spot. I don't know how you put your seeds in upside down. As I stated I germinate on a plate with paper towels. I wait until the radical/root tip exposes itself to a reasonable length then I plant with the root tip facing down into the soil with the seed cap showing on the top of the soil. This way it guanrantees that the radical/root tip will continue to grow down and the seed will pop it's head out of the soil. Usually if you leave the seed alone it will get back to where it needs to be....but sometimes this can be a issue for a young seed if lights are constantly hitting the exposed radical/root tip(roots don't like light) or if the seed has too much soil on top of it. Be sure your soil is very light and fluffy. You don't want your seedling to have to work hard trying to come up out of the soil.

A Seedmat works well...or a internet modem. At the moment weather is awesome for germinating. Just put the seeds in a plate and put a towel on the top and bottom of the plates. That should work well enough.

Alright Fantasy Thai- have been in saucers & only after about 48 they are looking good!
(5 out of 5) On first go =)
Time for the * propagator * anyone have a particular brand they prefer??

Update - Reggies only a few inches- but they are getting bigger slowly!!
Should I switch them from the 24 hour lighting to 12/12 and if not when ?
Also the compost- the material you found somewhere?
Because he has a website trying to sell it..

No 12/12. Just water them with regular water for 2 weeks then start watering them once a week with nutes and the other times u water with regular water.
They will grow slowly the 1st 2 weeks then when u add the nutes they should take off.

Alright that means they are ready for the nutes- since these are the bagged Reggie Im just going to add the organic packets that were free.... Gotta stock up on the rest of supplies!!

im not familar with the nutes you are talking about but i always use half of the recommended amount.
so if the directions say 1 tablespoon i only use 1/2 a tablespoon. eliminates the risk of nute burn. but after that you can slowly work up to full strength.
so this week do 1/2 dose, next week 3/4 dose, the next a full dose.
thats what i do atleast and it works pretty well.

Got an issue - a couple seeds the root just broke thru & didn't grow any longer- they don't look long enough for soil & the roots aren't getting any longer either.. What to do???

Regs can be bomb as hell bro. Just cut down the males. If you're gonna be out there every week, it won't be hard. You'll just get some pretty danky dank too.

Ohhh the Reggie is just my test/mistake plants at this point have 20 Thai fantasy & 5 other single strains that are going out- less actually because I doubt I'll achieve 100% rate- still some seeds break through the "shell" but don't grow long enough for soil- I don't know what to do!

Ok I believe I have everything...
I have FF Soil- Cal Mag- perlite- FF nutes trio- Molasses

I plan on mixing the soil 60% FF soil 20% perlite and 20% the soil in place

Can I give the Cal Mag and Nutes and molasses on a weekly basis beginning to end??

I was referring to superthrive....or does that have alot of nitrogen?
The logic is simple.....What does Superthrive do?...It helps build/stimulate root growth.....To make these roots the plants use energy from ATP/Photosynthesis. If a plant is using energy to make bud AND more roots/root surface area then the plants over all energy is being split in two different ways. If your plants aren't building roots anymore and are just using energy to make bud then you will end up with more dense buds. Using SuperThrive during flowering can lead to small popcorn sized buds or fluffy/airy buds. Besides once a plant is in flowering it should have enough root/surface area to absorb nutrients anyway.

SuperThrive have been known to delay/slow down flowering. I have experienced this last year. The plants that I used ST through out the entire grow had light fluffy buds. The plants that stopped getting ST at the start of flowering had more compressed buds. Learn from my mistake. :wall: This link should help....

Yeah, but don't start giving them nutes early or they will definatly burn unless you give a 25 percent dosage. I wait 3 weeks before giving nutes, but I do give them compost tea between 7-14 days. I figure the compost tea mixed with ST will help build roots and etc. Once the roots are thicker and have more surface area then I hit them with nutes. Other than that mine get straight water mixed with super thrive for the 1st 1-10 days.
