I am one week into flowering my "Dark Heart Nursery" "Romulan Grapefruit" strain Heartlets. I vegged them 18/6 under a 400w M.H. for 2 weeks, now i am one week into 12/12 under a 400W H.P.S. Things have been growing great until this morning when i rotated them, i noticed some discoloration on the tips of some bottom leaves (see pics). I am a total newbie and have no idea what to do or what the problem is (or even if there is a problem)! Please Help! If you need anymore info to help diagnose, please ask i will answer asap!

I use fox farms nutrients at 1/2 strength every other watering, does that not have enough potassium?
Looks like a potassium deficiency.Because of the yellowing and the brown spots.

I do not use fox farms nutrients but if it showing problems it must be not getting enough of something, so yes quit possible not getting enough potassium.
It looks like late stage potassium def

what nutes to you use? also what is a good NPK Ratio? I think mine might be a little low. I only use foxfarms nutes because I also use their soil!

Ah okay, well I grow out of coco 90/10% ill send you a link ( https://hydroponic.co.za/hydroponics/hortimix-nutrient-kit/ ) to the nutes I use, they are non-organic nutes that you dissolve in 5l water bottles and you add the correct amount of ml of that solution to the number of liters/gallons in the reservoir. They are not specifically for cannabis plants but I have gotten create results with sativa strains and the Star Nebula grow I did a year ago.
Hope this helps.

Id say its probably more likely you've overnuted. You leaves look over green. Potassium deficiency takes a long, long time to set in. Imho
Was the coco washed first??
Good luck.
Hope you sort it out.

What does the rest of the plant look like? I agree with above, could be over nut (particularly now that I see your growing in a nut based soil and adding nuts) or lack of potassium but, do the plants look healthy otherwise? Do all the leaves look like those/

Here’s the rest of the plant, not all leaves look like that, just a few lower leaves on the one plant. Other than that they look very happy!

I’m not growing in coco but rather fox farms ocean forest

Id say you over did it mate.
I haven't used ocean forrest before, they dont sell it here. I usually mix my own.
But if i did buy a bag of soil, id give it probably until almost bloom, to give it a top up. They put slow release ferts like osmocote in. It can cause you trouble down the line.
It sounds like you're running a little hot.
How often, and when was your last watering or feed?
Do you really water it through, when you do?

FFOF has a lot of nutrient additives in it already. Adding extra bottled nutes is definitely over feeding.

Also looks like she is ready for a bigger home. Time to transplant.

She’s young and will grow out of these issues, so don’t worry too much. Good luck!

Water every morning till I get run off, I guess that’s a little much then. Should I water every other day? I will wait till bloom now before I give them any nutes. Will transplant soon... thanks to everyone that is helping me.

Just give it a last big drink of water and dry it out for a few days, until it wants more. Keep an eye on it though, if its drying out and getting worse, its probably still salty.
If you have a ph stake as well, they're handy to monitor swings.
Good luck mate.

How can I tell when it wants more? Will the leaves get droopy? No ph stake unfortunately, I have a lot to learn!! What do you think about the genetics? Are dark heart clones as good as they are hyped up to be?

Itll just look a little dry, just before it begins to droop. You'll get the hang of it.
I cant say i know the stain you speak of sorry.
But every single pot plant needs the same thing. Just a little more or less.
Its all a dance :bigjoint:
Happy grow mate.
If things start to get worse just let us all know :weed:
