Can you post a picture of the light stuff? Maybe describe what all you have to do to make it work? Your babies look healthy to me!

Yep no problem! I bought the
mau5-V kit from Cutter Electronics.

GrowMau5 here on RIU is at the head of the DIY LED movement!

So my light kit will have 5 CXB3590s

I have to head back to the store for a different plug end, maybe some wire strippers and I feel like I'm forgetting something else but I'll have to watch the video again

Whats up guys! Sorry long time no talk, my phone broke and at that moment is pretty much my only way to the internet.
Anyways some major updates since my last updates!

All the plants are look ingénieur really healthy. One of the plants that I pinched I retopped cause it looked like I didnt pinch enough. I got my Light finished and everything sitting in their final home. Definitely gonna have to go get a thermal curtain to fight the heat though. Since I vegged for about a month now but in a weird way I think im gonna wait until the two topped plants recover, then imma flip to flower. Also im not gonna scrog until next grow

Some pics too. And on another note I may actually just buy another hydro tray next round and go SOG style with 12 plants
Everything looks like its coming together nicely for you man. If you have more hydroton, cover up the top of your rockwool cubes to stop that green algae bullshit from growing on em. Whats your feeding schedule and mix if you dont mind me asking?

What's up dude! Yea I was wondering what that was, I'll cover it up tomorrow maybe and do another update but they've already grown and they've settled into their new home nicely. I haven't decided if I'm gonna flip now or wait another week. I know some are starting to get 7 blades, starting to branch out and looking really bushy, but their relatively short. Maybe just 9 inches at most I would guess but nonetheless looking really healthy. I just think the whole veg thing, waiting on the lights moving them around for the sun and the small kitchen light wasn't the optimal thing but oh well!

Anyways my feeding schedule, according to the guy at the shop put my hydro tray on a timer to drip nutrient water every 15 minutes on and off while the light is on (18/6) and once every 2 hours I believe while it's off.

For the mix if I remember correctly off the top of my head, I'm using House and Garden aqua flakes A and B with amino treatment and roots excelurator PHd down to around 5.8 For the veg cycle then I thiiiink I add the bud xl multi zen and shooting powder for flowering. I got the little feeding chart at home

Seems like a bunch of mixed reviews on the stuff but we'll see how it goes!

Sounds like its working for ya. Are you trying to clone? How tall are they? Your flowering space should give you an idea of how long to veg. Remember when its topped its going to put up several tops and will get bushy as hell lol

Yea I actually switched to flowering today, I tried supercropping two branches but ended up breaking them pretty bad. This run I'm not going to do any clones cuz I got family coming in November but their growing fast! Maybe close to a foot now.

I've actually been thinking about doing solo cups in soil for 9 other seeds I got just as a side project for fun. Was gonna veg them on the balcony for two weeks then put 4 of them in the flowering tent and leave 5 out on the balcony.

But the main thing will be when my family leaves I'll get another hydro tray and do the SOG. I'll need to keep the plants pretty small for that

Hey guys! Well mostly my boy Windycity, but all the others out there as well!

I switched to flowering on August 1st and i installed my carbon filter yesterday as well. The plants were starting to give off a faint whiff whenever I opened the door and the tent. When I give a stem or leaf rub they are smelling delicious! I covered up the algae growth on the the rock wool cubes with the remaining clay pebbles so hopefully that'll stop the growth from getting too bad. Stems are getting nice and thick, branches are growing, and getting a lot of bushiness. What y'all think about trimming back some? I would like to minimize popcorn buds as much as possible

Man those babies are getting big and they look great! As for trimming or pruning, if you choose to do it, do it sooner than later. When you stress your plant, it takes a few days to recover. Better for them to recover early in flowering. I'd do a couple just so u can compare it for your next grow.

Keep it green buddy!

I appreciate it! I think I'll look up some pruning methods and do two of the plants and leave the other 3. As far as the solo cup project goes, I actually ran out of dirt (it's really shitty dirt my friend gave me) so I ended up putting 9 seeds in 4 cups lol, 5 random seeds from nirvana and 4 bag seed. :O im gonna keep two out on my balcony and two in the flower tent.

Found this link and it intrigued me quite a bit! Although the guy said it was a ton of maintenance keeping them in solo cups and he only had one plant in each cup, I'm damn sure not gonna have any room with two plants sharing the same cup. I've seen a 1oz shot glass grow challenge too.

Sounds like a fun lil project dlow. Im a little anxious to see how they turn out for you. Thinking about starting a 16oz solo cup to 1gal SOG style grow. Not with the seedlings i have but with my Space Monkey moms.
Let me know when they start poppin so i can check em out

Hi. This is my first post here on the RIU site ... been lurking for a while!! Complete noob here and I've never did a grow myself, but yours is looking good so far! I will be building a grow space here in the near future and have plans for almost the exact same setup. Looking forward to watching how your lights perform in the area of your tent. Keep up the good work!

Alright yea I might do a seperate grow journal on them I haven't decided yet, but I got some seeds poking their heads out the soil already I'll take a pic later! And yea I read up that 1 gallon pots are supposed to be really good for SOG grows, 2 liter bottles cut in half work too. Put your space monkey moms to work! How did that grow end up btw?

Thanks man! Well before I pulled the trigger on this I did a ton of lurking as well on this site and I did a simple two plant grow out on my balcony :D but I got faith in you! It seems like a lot when your ordering all the stuff and everything but once you get everything dialed in its a cinch. Well let me not jinx myself just yet but everything is going relatively good.

Btw WCK I did do a little bit of pruning on my front 3 ladies I'll get some photos for that too, I might do some more pruning but I'll see later I left. The back two to go natural so we'll see what's up. Also to add to my solo cup project, my friend said he wanted me to take over 3 of his 4 cups and to leave him one. So that'll leave me:

3 cups- 1 plant of nirvana mysterious seeds each cup
2 cups- 2 bag seeds plants each cup
1 cup- 2 nirvana seeds
1 cup- 3 nirvana seeds

I don't know yet how many cups or which ones I'll keep in the flower tent and which ones I'll keep on my balcony. Also with the multiple plant cups I think for half of them I'll let the plants compete, and the other half I'll cut out the weaker plant we'll see we'll see. But those cups will be a good amount of work to maintain

Yum! I'm still waiting on pre flowers but I'll remain patient. They are starting to touch each other so I might do a bunch of lollipopping tomorrow. Plus my little clip on fan isn't pushing any air at the bottom undergrowth nor is it making it to the 3 plants on the left

New update, unfortunately no pre flowers still and I just discovered on the underside of two leaves that I had a group of whiteflies :( so not cool.... So what's the best way of stopping this right in its tracks before it becomes a bigger problem?
